The Taiwan navy would occupy the ports, and the Communist leadership would follow the strategy of last Ming Emperor and try to seek refuge in Burma. At that point the remnants of the KMT and their descendants would put paid to the current Communist dynasty.

We can thank previous generations of American voters being more sensible than the 2016 voters. A president decades ago similar to President Trump would have resulted in nukes flying all over the planet.
