In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

Never worked a day in his life. Sponged off the sad-sacks for darn near a century. Nice work, Phil.

Although not a surprise still terrible news ..

Tho sometimes controversial Phil was the Queens rock , 99 is a good innings and hes had a fantastic life dedicated to public service.

Makes it a bit worrying when the Queen passes it will surely put the future of the monarchy in the UK in free fall ..

Lets see if young Harry grows a pair and returns ... with or without Megan the manipulator.

RIP Prince Philip .. very sad day indeed.

Phil was prone to the odd gaffe and heres my fav .. telling to BP photographer to " Just take the F******* picture

Yes I echo DM's comments , a man who did and said what he wanted to even if thet meant upsetting some, but as he said, I did it my way cannot change and will not change.
RIP to a really good man, met him twice.
HM will be really gutted but will, as they say soldier on, her sense of duty outweighing everything. That snese of duty unknown in todays society , sadly

RIP to Prince Phillip.
I remember him as someone who spoke his mind... sometimes controversial, sometimes very amusing.
99 is a very good age but if he were 30 years younger I wonder what he would have to say about these "snowflakes" who are ruining our society.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

DM
Quite right DM , prince Phillip served 18 years as a British Navy officer served in the med and the pacific fleets. He was a loyal consort to the queen for 73 years , a founding member of the world wildlife fund and many other charities . Its very sad that the queen has lost her husband of 73 years ,my condolences .

I'd like to agree with you Giggle but I can't.

Prince Philip belonged to an era that has long passed. I welcome and embrace the new era. I say bring on the changes. That's not to disrespect the Prince. I admire his public service.

Dare I say it that era of Gentlemen and Duty and loyalty is still as important today as it was then, sadly that part of life is NO LONGER taught by parents nor is it expected . Much to the detriment of us ALL !

I think he had a very loving, mature and supportive spouse. That must have made carrying out his duties and loyalty much easier. On the parenting front, he crapped out with his third child. A great man fathers a lemon.

Yesterday was a great day .. a day of celebration of the life of a great man .. no no no not me ..PRINCE PHILIP .

I watched the funeral and proud to be British .. even tho a less grand event due to covid i thought it was a magnificent spectacle very sad to see the Queen sat alone ... however it did make me feel very patriotic.

Rule Britania ..God save our Queen .

Im guessing Harry wont hang around n will be on a plane quicker than you can YES DEAR OK DEAR ..

DM. I have never been a royalist, but have admired the dignity and the complete lack of pomposity of both the Queen and the Danish prince.

I got an email from my sister yesterday that was almost word for word what you stated in you post. He meant a lot to the British people.

Yet a certain crass American ***** sees fit to type a derogatory post. No limits to this Trolls idiotic and taunting behaviour.
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

Yes a magnificent British military pageantry.
Yes a superbly choreographed event.
Yes a great tv presentation by commentators able to add personal anecdotes and thoughtful
insights.
Yes an uninterrupted broadcast focussing on what is happening on the terrain offering delightful
images.

No pizza commercials, thanks to a National Broadcaster.
I watched the entire funeral ceremony thinking that ONLY the British could pull such a feat in
such a short time.
Like HIM or not, this simple somber celebration should make all Brits prouds thanks to a National Broadcaster.
