Baan Wang Nam Khao Concert
This video, which is noteworthy for the energy and skill of the dancers, is from a concert in the small village of Baan Wang Nam Khao, Sukhothai Province, 1 August 2012.

I seem to be having the same problem uploading YouTube as you do, Uncle.
Here is the link for those interested:

The dancers are indeed a very skillful lot - with their best skills shown starting at around the 2.00 minute mark.
Not so sure about the female singer - didn't think much of the shorts that come up to her ribcage.![Not talking [-(](./images/smilies/eusa_snooty.gif)

I've seen quite a few morlams and I cannot recall a better-looking group of dancers, at least ones doing the more lively stuff.

Khun Jack, as usual, with the exception of Thai politics, your analysis is bang-on! By the way, the dancing skills around the 47 mark are nothing to be sneezed at either. 555+
Khun Brian, these dancers are indeed on the good-looking side, and it was truly a wonderful sight to see them show up in a small village. By the way, this is not mor lam.

You're quite right, of course. I think this type of concert would be rare to find in a village. In my experience, I'm struggling to think of one that hasn't been morlam. Sometimes morlam has more lively songs and girls not wearing a lot, rather than the typical morlam gear, but perhaps not as hot as this lot!Laan Yaa Mo wrote:.....By the way, this is not mor lam.

Jack,
you missed this lot live on stage in Ban Dung last year then.
Missus has just seen the vid clip and confirms it is the same lot she was gyrating to in Ban Dung itself.
Regards,
Mike.

Yes, these are pros, and have been around for awhile. I think they have 10 or more dvd's available. Their name corresponds to a very venerable member of this forum, who now goes by the name of trubrit.
Khun Brian, yes, I could not believe my good fortune to see these beautiful dancers show up at this village. It is typical of them to appear at festivals on wat grounds, and this is exactly what happened. There were rides for the kids, games to win giant stuffed toys, food like crickets, soft drinks and so on. The concert was free. Someone told me it cost either 200,000 or 20,000 baht to bring them to Baan Wang Nam Khao.
I hope to see them again.
My friends did not want me to take a closeup video for fear of fighting near the stage, but the biggest challenge was not stepping on the two ladies who had fallen down drunk in front of me. I took two other videos at further range.
Here is one of them, which only contains about 35 seconds of interest. It is a popular song in Thailand.

I can play the one immediately above your post Jack.
It is a 55 second video.
Here is the URL if you want to paste that into a browser-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... vkFcAqi7fs
I can't play the first video & can only watch that via the URL that you provided.
That video has been prevented from being embedded by the uploader to YouTube.
So a YouTube setting by the publisher rather than a UdonMap setting by the viewer.
What sort of error message are you getting when you try & view the second video Jack??

Bob, I can watch the video(s) if I follow the URL(s).
What I can't do is see the videos embedded in the forum, or embed a (youtube) video myself into the forum - even though I have done it many times before, and am following the correct steps.
Uncle Tilo is the uploader in both instances - perhaps the problem is with his settings in YouTube.![Think :-k](./images/smilies/eusa_think.gif)

A bit out of my area then Jack...jackspratt wrote:What I can't do is see the videos embedded in the forum, or embed a (youtube) video myself into the forum - even though I have done it many times before, and am following the correct steps.
Maybe Lee can have a look at your settings & see if anything has changed there.
What browser & version of Adobe Flash are you using jack?
I am, currently, on Firefox version 16.0 (that is a beta version though) & Adobe Flash 11,4,402,265 (that should be the latest version).
I did (as did others) have often problems of all sorts while Adobe was in version 11.3.xxx mode, but (fingers crossed) they seem to have gone away with the new 11.4 sequence..

FF 15 (I tried the beta 16 and had problems, so deleted it).
Adobe Flash - same as you.
I will wait for Lee.

Perhaps I've missed it, but has anyone stated the name these particular performers go by?

I do not know if this has anything to do with these videos but owing to the fact that youtube has become very touchy about videos, I put down 'standard youtube licence' and not 'creative commons attribution'. I do not know the difference between them, but have now edited the second video to the creative commons attribution option.
