git was that inside or outside withdrawal ? 4.22 is about 150 baht 150 divided by 35 = 4.28 so it must be
now if you do the math you got less than 35 to 1 not a very good exchange rate
I found Malaysia rather nice and they speak English and it very clean and I have no problem with
Muslims as long as they do not try to convert me from believing in no organized religion to one that is organized maybe some time next year I take a trip with the wife back to Penang I know when
I exited the plane with out a visa they gave me 90 days Thailand only gives 30 some thing to think about

Just a WAG git, my C/U allows me 10 free withdrawals per month as long as I use an affiliated ATM, Star, Plus, etc., maybe your Bank has a similar come on. I won't know until after the 1st if I get charged and if so get a refund. Got my fingers crossed.

Note that the OP refers to this being introduced wef 17th April, so few people will have encountered it yet. ;)
This and other Thai banks are going to slug us 150 Baht for ATM withdrawal using a foreign card, effective April 17th:-

Well I am only able to draw 17K at a time and I have a Wells Fargo ATM fee of $5.Now with the additional Thai charges,it will cost me almost $10 for every 17K baht.

I think ,I will just draw down my Thai bank acct again and write checks that only cost $10 for much larger amounts and take my chances that the exchange rate doesn't go against me during the 6 weeks it takes to clear and transfer to my Thai bank!

Even a quicker transfer charge of $30-35 is much cheaper than $10 for every ATM withdrawal! :yikes:

I can not understand why they are singling out expats & tourist is beyond my knowledge or understanding
but they are do they think they are going to make a killing I sure do not think so in fact I think
it going to hurt them more than they realize. it will just keep what tourist trade left to leave
and find new places to vacation were they get a better exchange rate it all about MONEY
and when the seller is trying to scam the buyer the buyer buy some place else Thailand better
wake up LOS land of scams is going to back fire on them & when it does I will be laughing all the way to the bank

"they are also the only bank i can use my Thanachart Bank atm card at"

Interesting since it was the Thanachart web sight where I first noticed the 150bt charge.
