Any recommendations?

I did have a casual look into contents insurance a while ago and Viriyah, biggish concern here, certainly offer policies. I've had my car insurance with them for years. Lots of agents around but personally I'd go to what appears the Head Office in Udon - on Tahan Rd, sort of opposite the Army Hospital.

We've had house insurance (house and contents) with MSIG through the Bangkok office. There is an office in Udon, but good luck getting a policy in English or anyone in the office who can speak English (same same problem I had with Viriyah). We've had one claim with MSIG and the entire matter was handled with emails and a few scanned photos of damage done during an electrical storm. The foreign rep is Khun Boonlert, email at boonlert_l@th.msig-asia.com
House policy is renewed every 5 years, contents is yearly.
Likewise, we do our car insurance through Viriyah in Bangkok......English policy, English speaking reps, and easy to handle matters through email. They have a foreign rep office as well.
