Custom Made Hollow Core Doors

Am looking for info ...I need to have 8 custom size hollow core doors made...Does anyone know a shop that can do this type of work..

Check with Home Mart. They have a number of door suppliers available which will custom make the door to your size. I believe some of their doors are hollow core.

You need to be careful when buying solid wooden doors, window frames and the like from most any shop in Udon. Typically the wood jusy air dried and not kiln dried to the degree necessary to prevent warping &/or splitting. The problem becomes worse when installing these in an air conditioned enviornment because the air con will dry out the wood and cause it to shrink, warp and/or split. Another problem area lies in how well the wood product was sealed. Far too often the local trade will only seal the top surfaces of the wood and ignore the sides, bottom etc. Pre-made wooden window frames are even worse because the wooden componenst are not sealed before assembly. Wet/dry weather and or air conditioning will cause the wood to either expand or contract and or warp or split.
These problems are not typically present in hollow core doors which are PROPERLY sealed before being hung because the faces of the door are made from plywood which is not prone to the above problems and the frames used properly kiln dried lumber.
To the best of my knowledge there is only one lumber factory in this area with an oven to dry wood. The factory is located on the north side of Udon - Nong Bua Lamphu highway around km 21. It's easy to identify by its tall chimney.
