Parquet Floors

Post by jingjai » April 8, 2007, 2:34 pm

Once the wood is layed down for a parquet floor. What is the time frame for it to be finished? Sanding? Laquering? How many coats of laquer? Etc. Is it recommended to put linseed oil or some other type of oil on the wood before the laquer is applied? How long a waiting period after the laquer has dried for the floor to be functional?
Thanks in advance.

Beware with wood flooring that you are not making a feast for the ants and termites that regularly patrol your neighbourhood

http://www.czarfloors.com/install_faq.asp This site gives you information, roughly 36 hours before you sand the floor, then the rest of the stuff. :)
