Electrical and plumbing help needed

Post by rickfarang » June 28, 2007, 3:40 pm

I need to find:

A good electrician to make a small electrical repair to my home, and

A good and reliable contractor who can tear out my bathroom floor, repair a 1000 liter/day leak, probably cause by the last guy not making a proper joint , and then replace the concrete floor and tile.

The house is in First Home.

Please let me know if you can recommend someone to fix these minor annoyances.

sounds like you met my plumber already. hmm, "shall we test this before we enclose it in the walls"......"i've been doing this for 30 yrs, why test it."

Gee, where is all this water coming from, dad? he was so embarrassed, he replaced the shabby job he contracted out, fixed and enclosed all new pvc while i went away for couple nighter, up to khiang khan i think and didn't even tell me he was going to.

ah, my electician, all 4 of them, each repairing and upgrading his predessor's work, and finally me, disconnecting and fixing a couple things last month. not sure if you want my contracted help, i don't.

good luck in you search though.

We really need a plumber pretty soon. The water pump cycle has dropped from every six minutes to every 90 seconds in the last week, and water damage is increasing. Eventually, the pump or First Home's water supply will not be able to keep up with the leak, and we won't be able to run the showers, toilets, etc. inside the house, and will have to resort to using buckets.

At this point, I will be grateful for contact information for any competent or semi-competent contractor who can find and fix this leak.

Thank you in advance for any help.

if you have access to your water pump, why not just start from scratch, run a new line, pvc is easy to work with, even if a temporary line till you can find someone. which may take a while. all you need is 1/2 line coming in thru wall or somewhere to get you by till you can do a proper fix. i thought you had city water straight to house. even though the new line will be above ground, it will hold you over. i need to fix my water pump here, small leak has gotten larger, and i lose my vacuum and have to prime pump, now on daily basis, so time to get unlazy and fix.

have you ever worked with pvc, it's very easy.

086-218-5637 plumber.
081-954-3870 electrician.
The electrician speaks english, the plumber does not.

Laphanphon, your idea would work, except in this house, all of the plumbing is under the floors (tile over concrete), and I am afraid that if I try breaking through the floors to find and fix the leak, I'll make the problem that much worse. Seems there should be some quality control if you are going to pour concrete over something like that.

Than you Mackayae and Roy (via private message) for the help. We have someone who said he will come over this afternoon. Let's see if he actually shows up.
