Gate Spring
Gate Spring
Does anyone know where I might find gate springs similar to the image attached. The gates I need them for are only waist height so they do not need to be super powerful…. Tried a couple of door closers but they’re far too strong. TY.

Re: Gate Spring
From the fountain circle, heading torward Makro, at the first left down about 70m on your right. Springs of every kind on display in front
May be closed on Sundays. Best to park on the main road (toward Makro) and walk down the side street.

Thank you Gents, had a look on Google maps and found the shop… in Surakan Road, the road Parrot mentioned and there’s a very similar pic of it on the thread mentioned by Pepesgrill. A trip to town tomorrow.
Re: Gate Spring
My go-to spring store doesn't have the spring I need. Any chance someone knows of another store in town that might have a variety such as this place?

Lazada have.
Re: Gate Spring
You may find using ingenuity and some skill, easier to make it yourself, utilising easily purchased, metal pipe, springs and a few small fittings.Better and longer lasting . Just an idea. AFTER all it is just a spring with a cap at either end so placed to automatically close a gate / door when opened.

Fortunately I lived in Okinawa for 7 1/2 years.....learning the GI art of keeping an old car alive to pass Japanese inspections. Lots of rubber bands and bailing wire.
My temporary fix will keep the lawnmower running for now.....but I'd prefer a more permanent repair.

Re: Gate Spring
Why not just contact the Ruangsangthai hardware in Buriram where we bought the mowers and ask Moses (Bob's replacement) to get a new spring from Honda? It's the same email address as Bob was using. I think much easier than running around UT.

Re: Gate Spring

could that be to find at store . something similar
it might be easier to use honda model/ mower #

Since it's Easter season (I think), I take pleasure in the hunt for things. On my way back from a trip to Nongwahsaw, I stopped at a store that caters to farming equipment. The owner had what I needed.....not an exact copy, but it does the job. 25 Baht. Peter Cottontail can go back in his hole again.
