How to tell size of land from Chanote
How to tell size of land from Chanote
Hi All,
Any of you clever chaps have any idea how to tell the size of land from reading a Chanote document?
My wife has not got a clue (about many things I may add )
Attaching couple snips of the document (I'm assuming I'm not giving away any sensitive information I should not be posting on a forum, but if I am please let me know
Cheers

Just to the North of the N arrow, there's a line that starts with ที่ดินแปลงนี้.......then in your particular case, ๑๑ ไร่ ๑ งาน ๑ ตารางวา which means "this piece of land is........11 rai, 1 ngan, 1 talang wah.
There's a letter before the "1" in talang wah, and I can't make it out......so the talang wah measurement is probably more than '1'. But the piece of land is 11 rai, 1 ngan

Ok, I decrypted the talang wah measurement.......it's '81'

Plug in your province, district, and chanote number and you'll get a bird's eye view of the selected land with surrounding land plots outlined.

Awesome, many thanks Parrot.
Re: How to tell size of land from Chanote
Oh wow this sounds a useful service. However I'm struggling to get it to find my land. Am I correct in thinking the number in the image below is the Title Deed number (note this is from a different Chanote to the previous one.)Potamoi wrote: ↑June 20, 2022, 2:55 pmOn a related note...

Would It be 56439824? I've tried every combination I can think of. It accepts up to 10 digits as the number, no letters.

That number is the Map Sheet Number according to the drop down on the map site.
It'll only take 4 digits this end......

Re: How to tell size of land from Chanote
To the right of the red emblem the Thai says in big bold letters
โฉนดที่ดิน
if you're lucky, there will be six Arabic numbers next to โฉนดที่ดิน.
If the Arabic numbers aren't there, you'll have to read the Thai on the next line เลขที่
There are 5 numbers that you need for the website I posted above

Re: How to tell size of land from Chanote
Sorry, I couldn't pinpoint that area in my above post.....I was on my smartphone and limited ability to reply. The photo here shows the Chanote number in arabic numbers.....but from my experience, most all Chanotes show the # in Thai......and Thai script at that. For the website https://landsmaps.dol.go.th/# first select Eng, then province, district, and finally enter the 5 digit chanote number. You get to see not just your own piece of land, but all the neighboring pieces and how they're broken up.
Re: How to tell size of land from Chanote
Thanks again Parrot, It is a really good tool.
All our Chanotes are in Thai script, I've been trying to translate buy boy they are writing some really funky thai numbers that look nothing like what I am expecting.
What I'm using to translate against

deankham........at that website, select EN for English, then enter Udon for the province, Thongfon for district, and 7359 for the chanote. Hope it works for you
Re: How to tell size of land from Chanote
