Vientiane Airport

Does anyone know if there are any plans to re-locate the airport in Vientiane?

Assuming that there is an expectation that air traffic will grow, along with the size of the aircraft using the airport, I would think that they will need a new larger airport with longer runways before too long?

No, but the airport is being extended/renovated for a SEA conference next year.

They can always use the vertical runway they built with money for a horizontal runway!!!!
