Tendulkar finally does it

Post by BobHelm » March 16, 2012, 6:27 pm

India's Sachin Tendulkar has become the first player to score 100 international centuries by compiling a ton in a one-day international against Bangladesh.
This last one has been a painfully long time in coming but is finally here.
A truly remarkable batsman, even given that many of them would have come on the batsmen friendly Continent that his home pitches are on.
He may be creaking a little now (as he showed last year in England & Australia) but he has made even the best suffer during his time.
Not sure that his like will ever appear again now that the shortest version of the game seems to be holding sway..

Tendulkar finally does it

Hmmmm he couldn't get there in the last tour of England or Australia.
Neither the tests or the one dayers.
These great players have to be dragged kicking and screaming to retirement.
We've got one ourselves......RTP.

Had to wait for Bangladesh. Nuff said.

Tendulkar is undoubtedly one of the greats, and one of the great survivors.

Where did he score his centuries? - every picture tells a story. :-k

Is it true he was never given out LBW on the sub-continent prior to 2002? :D
