For those of you unaware that "Special 1" suffered his first defeat yesterday, plus Man City were held at Stoke, here are the results.....
Manchester United 2 Crystal Palace 0 ; Aston Villa 1 Newcastle 2 ; Fulham 1 West Brom 1 ; Hull Tigers 1 Cardiff 1 ;
Stoke City 0 Manchester City 0 ; Sunderland 1 Arsenal 3 ; Tottenham 2 Norwich 0 ; Everton 1 Chelsea 0 ;

So the North London clubs sit proudly at the top of the league, along with Liverpool. Not many people would have thought that after Arsenals opening day defeat by Villa who have lost all their matches since, surprisingly.
Liverpool can go top on their own if they avoid defeat at Swansea in Mondays nightime clash.
Manchester United unconvincing against Palace.....the opening goal didnt look like a penalty and the Palace guy got sent off as well,to add insult to injury.Kagawa not even on the subs bench again  .....I dont know if Moyes had a relative in a Japanese POW camp or something but theres surely no excuse for omitting him when Uniteds midfield is so mediocre. [-X
Not heard from statto either.....maybe he and 747 were out partying late into the night ! ;)

Moyes said on the press conference on Friday that Kagawa was sick. I`m sure he`ll play in CL on Tuesday if ok again.

I suppose that after being rock bottom after week 1, to be sitting proudly alongside (on the same games/points) as the likes of Man Utd, Man City, and Chelsea after 4 games should make us very happy

With (almost) a full squad to choose from, it was nice to see Pardew go into an away match playing 4 - 3 - 3.

They managed over 20 shots at the villa goal and Ben Arfa was again in a class of his own. Last week Fulham "Double teamed" against him (and failed), this week Villa left it to one man most of the day, and he got torn to shreds time after time. When HBA is in this type of form, nobody can stop him without breaking his leg in a couple of places
The big worry for me (may be magpie will agree/disagree) is that when Villa finally sussed out how we were playing (after about 35 mins) they came more and more into the game, and Pardew clearly had no Plan B for when that happened. Sides will watch video's and not need be 35 mins and a goal down in future before they change tactics.

Don't tell Real Madrid that Crashley will take 120 million Euro's for him :-#

The young lad Januzaj looked good though doubt he will see much action in the next 2 games. Hopefully Anderson has just taken another step towards the exit, he was shocking even by his own standards yesterday.

If Kagawa plays he is gonna be forced out wide as I can't see Rooney being dropped.

I felt for Palace, Man U were looking for a penalty from the first whistle and finally got their wish before half time.

I also thought Sunderland were on the wrong end of a bad decision, not playing the advantage when Altidore got clean through and scored. Ozil looked a bit good though!

tonight - Southampton vs West Ham, the perfect cure for insomnia. West Ham keeper played very well.

Ashley Young was looking for the penalty, his lack of talent obviously frustrates him as much as the fans.
Ref had a tricky decision. If he didn't award a penalty / free kick would he have had to send Young off for another simulation.

Evra took a tumble in the first few minutes as well. Every time United got in behind Palace I was waiting for someone to hit the deck.

I noticed Ian Holloway was restraining himself in the post match interview, so not to extend his touchline ban further!

Thai TV Channel 3 has the rights to the UEFA Champions League till 2015 but I cant see any matches for this week listed,as yet.......United v Bayer Leverkeusen is on True Sports 1.
Good to see 747 posting(albeit a little late) as I know several people who thought the excitement of Evertons win might have proved too much for him !.......And more good news for him with the McVities Digestives promotion 2 for 99 baht still on a Tesco's.....life doesnt get much better than this in Nong Khai ! 8)
I actually changed my avatar as I hoped my luck would change having achieved the "double" at the start of this season of being bottom of both the IKTS and a Fantasy Football league :( it already seems to be working as I am now next to bottom in both ! 8-[

Anyway, yesterdays result.....Southampton 0 West Ham 0.....an inspired performance by The Hammers keeper Jaaskaleinen, apparently.
The Monday night match in the UK.....Swansea v Liverpool, which is on at 2am Tuesday morning in Thailand. If they avoid defeat Liverpool will be out on their own at the top of the Premiership table.

Yes.  Don't believe all that rubbish Zid has just posted about his 'about face'
The truth is Zid became consumed with rage & jealousy when he learned I had managed to get her telephone number, without his help, and he grovelled to get her back before it was too late. It's rumoured she reluctantly agreed, but only after he promised to change his allegiance, and support Man. City this season [-X .

Don't think that I have seen Collins have such a poor game for West Ham as he did last night :-k
After what was a quite masterful display of central defending at St James' a couple of weeks ago, I thought that he had improved his game considerably from past seasons. Unfortunately last nights display was the exact opposite with the guy looking as if he had just read Rio's new book or been watching JT's training video's during the international break.
I'm sure that there must have been several "alerts" at Eastleigh Airport as sightings were regularly made of UFO's appearing above the roof of St Mary's. Every time Collins kicked the ball it headed upwards at a great pace, and even when he took a free kick from near the half way line, it was already 10 metres up before it had travelled 5 metres forward.
Perhaps Big Sam should mention to him that if the ball is in the air for 20+ seconds before it returns to the earths gravity, the players on the opposition defense have plenty of time to adjust their positions and clear it.
About 10 mins from the end, the ball broke to him in Southampton's penalty area after a corner and he managed to place his shot so far up the stand that it even made a standard Bobby Zamora shot (Row "z") look good.
I got to wondering what had caused this sudden change of ability in what is only a couple of weeks, and have since found out that his new boot sponsor is Turkish ..... could that have anything to do with it?

For years Tottenham, who have a strong Jewish following, have been on the receiving end of cruel anti-Semitic abuse from opposition fans.

In an act of defiance, some fans of the north London club have coined the word "Yid" themselves, and chants of "Yids", "Yid Army" and "Yiddos" are regularly sung on the home terraces at White Hart Lane.

Last Monday the Football Association (FA) issued a statement warning supporters that use of such words could result in either a banning order or even criminal prosecution.

Tottenham responded by saying they would consult with their fans on the matter, and it has now emerged they will do so in the form of a questionnaire that will be sent out to all season-ticket holders.

"There is a document that Spurs will be sending out to season-ticket holders in due course," Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust (THST) chairman Darren Alexander told Press Association Sport.

"It's a questionnaire, and basically what the club want to ascertain is do the fans think now is the right time to be stop using this identity.

"If that comes back and a clear majority of fans think: yes, now is the time, then we move forward and we will work actively with the club if they want us to and we will think about how is best to do that."

Tottenham fans reacted defiantly to the FA's statement on Saturday as they chanted "Yid Army" and "We'll sing what we want" throughout the 2-0 win over Norwich.

The same happened last season after Peter Herbert, the head of the Society of Black Lawyers, threatened to report anyone using the phrase to the police.

The THST is unhappy with the way that English football's governing body has brought the issue back on to the agenda, and it insists the fans will be the only ones who decide whether it is time to drop the chants.

"If Spurs fans genuinely are going to stop using this word then it should be our decision," Alexander said.

"It shouldn't be something that is trying to be forced on us by the FA or Peter Herbert.

"There was a degree of defiance on Saturday and that was always going to happen with the way that the FA has gone about this.

"This is something I have been dealing with for seven years and all of a sudden the FA have gone out on a limb by issuing this statement without proper consultation with the club or the fans.

"There is always going to be the idea among the fans that they are picking on us and that is why that act of defiance happened."

The FA's warning that any fan who chants the Y-word could be prosecuted under criminal law is muddied by the fact that police would have to prove the person who chants the phrase did so with the intention to cause offence.

"I know it is offensive to some Jewish people, but our focus is the legality of what the FA has announced this week," Alexander said.

"As far as we are concerned and as far as the police are concerned, unless there is an intent to offend, then you can't be prosecuted.

"We sincerely believe that no Spurs fan ever uses the Y-word or shouts Yid Army in an effort to offend anyone."

The FA has not responded to requests for a comment on the matter.

Give me strength ...... what next ...... Newcastle fans not being able to call "Fat man Ashley" Fat coz it's sizeist

Note:- In Yiddish, the word "Yid" Yiddish: ייד is neutral or even complimentary, and in Ashkenazi Yiddish-speaking circles it is frequently used to mean simply "fellow," "chap," "buddy," "mate," etc., with no expressed emphasis on Jewishness

In Yiddish, a polite way to address a fellow Jew whose name one does not know is Reb Yid, meaning "Sir."

THE F A WOULD RESPECTFULLY ASK ALL FOTTIE FANS TO REMAIN SILENT FOR THE DURATION OF THE MATCH ...... A TWO MINUTE "NOISE" WILL BE HELD AT ALL GROUNDS DURING THE HALF TIME INTERVAL !!
