Aussie beaten by Chile 3-1.
Chile with two early goals after that the Aussies played a lot better with Cahill scoring a goal from a header before half time. The game was quite even in the second half, Cahill scored another goal by header which was disallowed after being ruled os side by a fleas dick. The third goal was scored by Chile in extra time.

I do like a Beer GT but your right certainly no choir boy. Off to watch the full match now on the internet and can't wait to see Real Madrid's Ramos reaction. He should be nicknamed 'Thrush' - one of the most irritating C*&%$ in Football

Well,where do you start ?
Mexico 1 Cameroon 0......easy cos' I didnt watch the game.
Spain 1 Netherlands 5......absolutely unbelievable ! Spain opened the scoring with a dubious penalty then Silva missed a great chance to put them 2-0 ahead.Van Persie scored a super equaliser just before half time and the second half was just......a rout ! Spain play Chile in their second match and will need to win or it could well be goodbye to the defending champions.Netherlands were brilliant, particularily the second half, and could emerge as a surprise choice to lift the trophy if they maintain this sort of form.
Chile 3 Australia 1....The Aussies got off to a shocker being two goals down in the first 15 minutes and it looked like they were in for a hammering. But "Little Timmy Cahill" pulled one back just before half time with a nice header.Chile got their third goal in the last minute.Australia tried hard but couldnt really get the possession and without David Warner and Mitchell Johnson they lack world class performers at this level ! ;)

Todays/Sunday mornings games.....Thai times.
Group C : Colombia v Greece 11pm Saturday.....Ivory Coast v Japan 8am Sunday.
Group D : Costa Rica v Uruguay 2am Sunday.....England v Italy 5am Sunday.

We were robbed Zid. Missed out on a couple of penalties that Spain or Brazil would have got, equalized with an offside that was just and apart from the first 10 minutes and the last two minutes we pretty much controlled the game.
I saw a coupke of kids (Leckie, Franjic) I'd never seen before who were ok and given that it looked like we were gonna get done by a cricket score, 3 - 1 doesn't seem so bad. Tim Cahill brilliant and a legend.
Good luck to the poms tomorrow. I always barracked for the English in Football in the days when the Aussies never made it to the world cup. Hope you give the Ities a touch up.

Yeah,it was a shame that the Chile keeper made a great save from Bresciano that would have made it 2-2.
You certainly didnt get the rub of the green with the decisions and just didnt have the penetration in the final third of the pitch.

Don't know arjay, I ditched Truevision about 8 yrs ago, and I would assume most of the footie fans would have got rid of it before last season started with TV not having the Premier League matches. It is being shown on Thai Free Channels though.

Anyone got any Idea who "Tivvy Tucker" is? I watched Fox Sports news this morning on two separate occasions, and both times when referring to the Holland Spain game the female presenter said to PJ Roberts "is this the end for Tivvy Tucker?" and I've honestly never heard of him, I can only assume he has something to do with the spannish team? It's driving me mad (ok .... even madder than usual) I've tried to google him, and only seem to find references to Tiverton.

Possibly a reference to Spains "tippy tappy" passing style, statts ? :-k
Cant be a reference to Del Bosque as he's known either as "El profesor" or "La Furia Roja" (the Red Fury).
Dont get over concerned about it or youll be in a right state by the time England kick off against Italy ! 8)

I'm no fan of Italy. To me they're master cheats. They'd be nearly as bent as FIFA itself. It's kind of grubby even having to play them. It's like having to go out for a beer with Rolf Harris.

I don't really follow football so I might be talking through my lowest orifice.

I am quite partial to a nice Lasagne,though.....

The Americans on the forum have been very quiet,up to now.Their first match against Ghana kicks off at 5am on Tuesday morning over here in Thailand.
Maybe Bubba will invite PapaG,redwolf and Beatus over to his gaffe for a Budweiser or two when the match is on ?
Maybe one of them will post their analysis of the match on here...... :-k

Not sure that would be such a good idea Zid 8-[

"The American wing player put in an awsome corner from the left side of downtown and the quater back met it with a massive leap and slamdunk into the unguarded endzone to complete his triple double (or was that double tripple) never mind final score Land of the free 6 Afro American imports 0"

Well, it was an odd game. Mexico had to play against 14 men of which three were dressed in black. 55+
