Re: English Premier League 2016/17
Just all far too easy for the home side.FULL-TIME
Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal
The Gunners huffed & puffed, dominated possession & looked like boys playing men.
Chelsea will have to go to a very dark place to lose the title from here, they were so far ahead of Arsenal it was almost embarrassing...

Palace 4-0 down at half time at home to Sunderland
blimey,Sunderland have been so poor for much of this season that you would expect the Henley-on-Thames Womens Institute XI to hold them to one goal at the interval.
But with Swansea,Hull and Sunderland showing signs of revival,it makes it very interesting at the foot of the table.Bad news for the likes of Palace,Middlesborough and Bournemouth.
Liverpools poor form continues
but theres news that Louis Van Gaal will be ending his sabbatical away from football and be returning to management next season.
If he took over the reins at Anfield then Liverpool could look forward to 90% possession in games which would help protect their dodgy defence.Of course the downside is that they are only likely to muster one shot on goal every couple of matches or so !

I understand Palace has refused an invitation for a friendly with the Henley Ladies, fearing it might further dent their confidence.Zidane wrote:Palace 4-0 down at half time at home to Sunderlandblimey,Sunderland have been so poor for much of this season that you would expect the Henley-on-Thames Womens Institute XI to hold them to one goal at the interval.

Re: English Premier League 2016/17
Manchester City 2 Swansea 1
Leicester 0 Manchester United 3
Swansea were overwhelmed in the 45 minutes but came back strongly in the second half to equalize. It took an 90th minute divine intervention goal from Jesus to secure the points for City.
When I mentioned relegation candidates yesterday I forgot Leicester. They are now only 1 point above the drop zone and were truly awful again last night. They could be the first champions to be relegated the following season since Manchester City in 1938.(I had to google that one). There next match is a true 6 pointer at Swansea and the fixtures after that aren't too kind to them either.United didn't have to play well to win comfortably. The first 30 minutes was pretty dour but things livened up a bit when United scored two just before half time and it was game over when Mata added a third just after the break.Leicester had only one tame shot on target in the whole game.

I'm sure it wasn't missed by those with Blue Blood flowing through their veins that Umar Niasse who was forced to train with "The Toffee's" Under 23's, now on loan at Hull City scored an excellent goal for "The Tigers" at the weekend, just to rub salt into the wounds! :-"
