Huddersfield 1 Newcastle 0........Huddersfield deserved to win this for their effort alone.A lovely goal by MOM Mooy early in the second half proved to be the winner.

Tottenham 1 Chelsea 2....The scoreline maybe a bit harsh on the Spuds but Chelsea were more clinical in front of goal with two goals by wing back Alonso. The first a lovely free kick but the second Lloris in the Spuds goal should have done better.
The Spuds have now lost 7 of the 10 games they have played at the new Wembley,As this is their home for this season I cant see them challenging for the title.

Tonight its Manchester City v Everton at 2am Tuesday morning here in Thailand.

Toffees youngsters Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Mason Holgate and Tom Davies will all have caught Southgate's eye in the opening half an hour. Just 3 of the EIGHT ENGLISHMEN in the Toffees side on show. Citeh down to 10 men, poor decision by bobby Madeley to send Kyle Walker off.

Manchester City 1 Everton 1
Raheem Sterling equalized in the 82nd minute to salvage a point for 10 man City.
A very harsh decision by the ref to send off Kyle Walker imo.
Rooney scored for Everton in the 35th minute but surely the keeper should have saved it ? Citys new keeper,Ederson, looks to be like Claudio Bravo mark II ! :badteeth:
Schneiderlin also sent off in the 88th minute to even things up.
Everton fans happy with the draw I think ??

Andy, Did you have your City Shirt On Then ??...A very harsh decision by the ref to send off Kyle Walker imo.

Schneiderlin also sent off in the 88th minute to even things up......Now THAT Was HARSH, He Got the Ball & Kun Aguero DIVED & When The Red Card was Shown Immediately Jumped to his feet, after rolling around like a " Baby " on the grass !!!!( You MUST Agree with that ??)
Yes Happy with ANY AWAY Draw,But felt we should have " Gone at them " More to try & get the 3 Points....

Note to Andy ( Zidene )....Statistics showed Rooney ran 11k, further than any of his team-mates. “It is not bad for someone who is not fit any more and can’t get about the pitch,” said the player.

“I have always put a shift in for the team and tonight is no different.”

According to the EPL Injury tables on Physioroom Philippe Coutinho's back injury will keep him out for another 1 month :-k

Now I'm no medical expert, but I wouldn't mind having a couple of bob on it miraculously getting better in about .....5 days time :-$

Odd game, in what is looking like an odd season - but not as odd as the one Leicester won... :D

City went behind to a cracker very much against the run of play..
They then got back into it before half time & battered in vain for the second half.
Bournemouth had a couple of breakaway chances to pinch the game which would probably been hard on Citi. then, deep into stoppage the visitors clinch it & get the scorer sent off for celebrating with his fans. OK, second yellow, not a red, but surely totally unnecessary...
Ref Mike Dean had a bit of an over influence on the game with his cards. This was anything but a dirty display from either side... 5 yellows for the hosts, 6 for the visitors??? Surely not??

Looks like being a tough season for West Ham & Palace supporters..
United's good start to the season continued, although Leicester seemed keener on looking for a draw than going for a win..

Nice to see Brighton get off the mark and Uniteds good start continue.....tougher tests ahead, though.
A couple of big games tonight involving London and Merseyside clubs should be well worth watching for the neutral ! ;)

So I guess both will be disappointed about only getting the draw Statts..
Elsewhere, Chelsea seem to have recovered from Day 1 sleep to run out comfortable winners against the Toffees.
Liverpool thrash the Gunners in another display which makes me wonder why they don't take Barcca's money & buy 2 defenders & a goalie. Not that it much mattered if they had left those 3 on the bench against a toothless Arsenal display..

International break next week so no Premiership to view.. :(

I think most footie fans would have plumped to see the games at Liverpool and Chelsea last night.....
Liverpool were irresistible going forward......Salah,Mane,Firmino.....who needs Coutinho ?.....and,although they rode their luck at the back a couple of times, completely outclassed a gutless Arsenal.
Arsenals display was shocking but surely not helped by some of Wengers team selections.....
Why did he not start with record signing Lacazette ?
For the second season running he's starting without Giroud,a decent striker at EPL level who can guarantee you around 20 goals a season.
Two of Arsenals centre backs were the inexperienced Holding and Monreal, normally a wing back and they were hopelessly exposed at times. Also, normal right back Bellerin, was playing left back in the first half for some reason ? What has happened to central defenders Mertesaker and Kolasinac ? Arsenals line up looked completely unbalanced.
Sanchez had the air of a man who wondered what he was still doing at Arsenal and could well be on his way to Manchester City in the next few days.
Champions League football for Arsenal next season ? Top half of the EPL looks doubtful on this display.

In the early game Chelsea comfortably beat a subdued Everton side.Everton didn't spring to life until the last 10 minutes and with Sandro and Rooney leading their attack they are toothless upfront and you can see why they are interested in Costa and Vardy.Chelsea will be up there fighting for the title again this season.

The Spuds Wembley hoodoo continues and a good point for Stoke against high fliers West Brom.

Only 3 weeks in and no EPL next weekend......international break :(

PALACE 'AGREE SAKHO FEE'

Crystal Palace have agreed an initial £20m fee with Liverpool for defender Mamadou Sakho, according to The Guardian.

The fee could reportedly rise to £30m with add-ons, and is pending a medical.

Blimey they are making 4 times that, over the odds, for PC from Barca, so I thought they would have let poor ol palace have im for nowt

The Sakho saga has been dragging on for a long time. I agree it's strange Liverpool is sticking out for more money, when Klopp doesn't want him, Sakho wants out and, based on an impressive if limited number of games on loan last season, Palace need him.
To be honest, after the last home game's absolutely pathetic showing (enough for me to go to bed after an hour as a better option!) and concerns about the manager, system etc. after just three games, I'd be surprised if many players didn't think twice about signing in the usual, ridiculous last minute rush.
