Palace have reportedly rejected a bid of 18 million from Everton for Bolasie. He hasn't been of his best of late (he is playing for a move?) and there's some feeling that with the signing of Townsend, it's time to let him go. Palace apparently want more like 30 million! He can be superb (I won't forget the 'Pool fans clapping him off the field, which you won't see very often), but also frustrating and not finding the net often enough. Palace STILL need to sign a central striker or two. ](*,)

Stones went for 47.5m and a marquee signing in 31 year old Ashley Williams to replace him!Now sell Lukaku for 50m and bring in Adebayor on a free.....great business ! :D

Everton.Or wait until the January Transfer Window opens, and grab two of The Mouth's, by then, cast offs. The prodigal son, at fair valuation, (10m, and a weekly salary of 125 sterling?), plus Mata who would be a bargain, these days, at around 30m, and same weekly salary of around 125 sterling. ;) :-k

Arsenal. With Arsenal already beset by usual long list of injured senior players, (as always, of course Wilshere is among them! ), perhaps Wenger should think 'outside the box' and make a smash & grab raid for Kompany, before the fact that he could very well be available registers with other clubs in need of a top class defender AND LEADER!
Also, as he is about to enter into his final year as Arsenal Manager, (want to bet Zid???), Wenger should have a fit of madness, and pay whatever it takes in a determined effort to sign Lukaku, while Konte & Abramovich, continue to prevaricate. This player wants to be in London, so every chance he would be prepared to consider the alternative of signing for Arsenal.

Bit of fun ...... no crates of beer or bottles of charcoaldonay up for grabs, just a few bragging rights.
Predict all 20 finishing positions ..... score 1 pt for every place wrong ie; I make Chelsea no 1 and they finish no 7 I score 6 pts, if they finish second I score 1 pt. Lowest combined score wins.

Stattos Predictions

1) Chelsea
2) Man City
3) Spurs
4) Arsenal
5) Man Utd
6) West Ham
7) Southampton
The team finishing 8th) Leicester (Thank you udonmap .... I know what I typed even if you don't)
9) Everton
10) Stoke
11) Liverpool
12) Palace
13) Swansea
14) WBA
15) Bournemouth
16) Middlesboro
17) Burnley
18) Sunderland
19) Hull
20) Watford

Probably making sure the money's coming in,loose ends tidied up, before splashing out on somebody else. I imagine Bolasie sees his future elsewhere and is 'making hay whilst the sun shines'. Can't see the point of using somebody tomorrow who wants to be elsewhere. How would Bolasie perform and how would the crowd react? :-k

Incidentally, Williams good signing by Everton, methinks.

Just listened to Pardew on Sky he's not happy with the Agent's behaviour during this window i.e. getting involved with players who are not even on their books! What's new I hear many ask? Certainly an area of football that requires immediate attention! Pogba's move initially held up (supposedly) awaiting decision on Agent's fees. Not easy for the man on the street to comprehend as he scans the back pages for announcements of any move. Koeman not finding it easy to hold onto Romelu Lukaku. No doubt agents heavily involved in that one! Agree on Williams' signing. How long b4 he's handed the armband. Been a while since we had a Welsh Centre Half / Skipper! A while back Seamus Coleman was asked who the most difficult winger he'd played against was? His reply: Yanick Bolasie. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em or, at least get them to join you mmm.

Transfers tend to be a cat and mouse game, both sides wanting to get the best deals they can. No doubt, after weeks to get deals done, there'll be the final day madness, when Clubs realise they'll have to pay more, or agents conclude they must settle for less.
It will be interesting to see how Bolasie gets on. I reckon the Palace crowd is reasonably tolerant, history showing fans have generally, of course not always, had to tolerate lesser talents. The 'bigger' clubs have greater expectations and their fans, perhaps, less patience. I've said already Bolasie can be magic, but also inconsistent and frustrating. Whether demanding Everton fans, at that price, will love him or be less than impressed, time will tell.
I recall Williams having some outstanding games against Palace. In one game, which I think Swansea won, he was solely the player preventing a Palace win! I think Everton are guaranteed 100% there.

Great idea Statto; I'll be in that. =D>
But do you agree to the stipulation that entries, to be valid, must be lodged or amended, (provides you opportunity to change your list  ), prior to the expiration of 24hrs after the Transfer Window officiaslly closes.
My suggestion is because I personally am of the opinion the prospects of some clubs would change dramatically with the last gasp signing of, for example, players such as Lukaku, Mahrez, Mata, Kompany, Lewandowski, and several other outstanding players ,currently with overseas club, who appear likely to be on the move, before the window closes. :-k

The fact that the transfer window is still open, makes it so much better. You have to use your judgement and knowledge of clubs/managers/chairman/players to work out what transfers are likely and what are not. There's no money involved so It really doesn't matter if you get caught out with a transfer or two ..... everyone else will get caught out as well. My selection is made guessing Luk will move/Mata will move/Mahrez won't/Wenger will grow extra deep pockets again and not be able to reach his sheckles etc etc. Just guess what will happen between Kick off and the transfer window shutting, let's face it half the managers and chairman are in the same boat .... guessing :-"

I predict John Stones July 2020 will be an Everton transfer target for a mere 150mill (peanuts to the owners of the new Prem league champions :^o )
Working on the same theory perhaps Everton should hijack Arsenals 30m + bid for Mustafi ..... after all they let him go on a free in 2012 :-k
