What was that statts about poms needing something to moan about.
You’ve found something recently to moan about regularly mr statts.
Actually in recent history pom moaning started with the 10 pounds they had to pay for an ocean going voyage to the land of good blokes and shielas after the war.

Socceroos have a tough draw but wins against Tunisia and Denmark are on the cards. Go the Aussies.

Do I understand this correctly? Most Scots would be happy for England to have a piss poor World Cup.

Where as the majority of England supporters are happy to see the Taffs/Jocks/Paddys do well ....... perhaps its just the fact that they are safe in the knowledge that none of the aforementioned will ever get near to winning a world cup :-k

No, not at all. With the possible exception of Sir Andy Murray and in lieu of our own participation, we wish them success. The same goes for Wales and Northern Ireland. It's just the Scots expect them to fail whereas the Englander's solitary international success has inculcated an unrealistic expectation that something is coming home.

It would seem at this stage if the English don't make the semis then that's a fail? I haven't decided who I want to win the whole shebang yet. If the English do, Johnson might ride in on the euphoria and get re-elected. I'm not keen on that.

With the sudden resignation of Bloris's ethics adviser, we're hoping that he'll fall through a hole in the ice before Qatar. With few exceptions, it's far more acceptable to have someone else, pretty much anyone else, gloating over how any unlikely success in Qatar is somehow emblematic of the quality of their leadership.

Think I'll pass on the 350 quid a night tents with no booze allowed in the fan village ......... even the fact they include a hair dryer and iron/ironing board.

Interesting article "Denmark have revealed a monochrome kit for the Qatar World Cup in protest against the host country; Hummel, the kit manufacturer, said it has "toned down" its logo and "iconic chevrons" as "we don't wish to be visible during a tournament that has cost thousands of people their lives"

Funny that, surely if they REALLY had concerns (and didn't just want extra free advertising), they would have said they didn't want to make/sell the shirts in the first place ........ sorry I forgot , free market, money and profit takes priority over morals and beliefs.

Update, I've sold my Spain v Costa Rica tickets once I realised how rubbish Costa Rica are 😉

Got my Sunderland away shirt from 2021/22 season washed and pressed ready for England v USA game. If you see a fat lad with a yellow Sunderland shirt on the TV it'll be me! I'll be waving. If they did Udon FC shirts in 3XL I'd be wearing that for another game.

Dean, has your hotel sorted out TV coverage for World Cup.? Seems Keys/Gray/Be In have shot themselves in the foot again and virtually every hotel/bar/eatery has refused to pay their ridiculous charges. Hotels have to buy a separate package for each room and bars/eateries will be charged 24k GBP each to show the games

Perhaps the need to contact the Saudis who can stream via Be Out to Qatar hotels :-"

The fact that under Thai law they have to show WC/Olympics/Asean games FOR FREE to the Thai public is a pretty good reason why Be In , True et al wont spend money on something they cant charge for.
Will no doubt end up on same 3 or 4 free to air channels as usual

Up now no Thai broadcastervhas chosen to.pay the crazy money for the Quatar WC tv rights ..who can blame then st such a ridiculous amount.

Ihaving in my younger days atrended a couple i can state now that i have never been so un interested in a WC tournament as this one and not bothered if its shown her or not.

My dislike for England manager Southgate and his ultra negative style also compounding my opinion... with such a pool of exceptional talent to choose from the 3 lions should be better ..alas with this plum.in charge ... NO HOPE
