Now Sean Dyche or may be Chris Hughton would be IDEAL as both have previous experience of getting clubs promoted from the Championship...

Oh ! You are Funny Are'nt You ????

Come on 747, you have to understand, that as a Newcastle fan we HAVE to make the most of ANY rare opportunity to take the p***

"JOSE SEEKS PAY RISE

Jose Mourinho is seeking a a £3m-a-year pay increase on his current Manchester United deal. The Portuguese's representative Jorge Mendes has planned New Year talks with vice chairman Ed Woodward.

According to The Mirror, Mourinho believes he deserves an increase on his £12m-a-year salary at Old Trafford.

The 54-year-old has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and has previously admitted he does not see his career ending at United."

B*gger me !!!! for that money Ed Woodward could buy all the buses he needs and a garage to keep them in and do away with Jose :-$

Everton want former England boss Sam Allardyce to be their new manager for the rest of the season. The 63-year-old is set to sign a £100,000-a-week deal, with former Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare as his assistant.

If true, then Allardyce wanting to 'put his feet up' on leaving Palace was, perhaps, a load of bull****. Of concern to Palace fans is that this, combined with other reports, means the happy Club is anything but.

I heard that Palace made Allardyce sign a declaration that he would not manage another Premiership club until AFTER the end of this season, before they let him go, and it is the legality of this that is holding the process up.

I hadn't heard that, but that Palace would be paid 2 million if Allardyce joined Everton, which could be part of the same story.

I hope you're correct 747, but we'll see. Sod's law, of course, is that the next Premiership game is Palace v Everton. We can expect, I think, Everton to raise their game for any new boss and I can't imagine Palace being too excited if it was Allardyce, who knows the Palace players well. Add the fact that he'd probably get a lot of abuse from Palace fans after giving his reasons for leaving and that would guarantee Everton would get something from the match!

Accepted 747, perhaps guarantee was the wrong word, shall i use probability or curse instead?
I've followed Palace for nearly 60 years now. I wish I'd bothered to keep proper records of games, which might just back up my thoughts. Let's just say that a team that hasn't won away for 25 games will likely end that run against Palace. An ex outfield player for Palace returning to Selhurst is a pretty good bet to score. An ex 'keeper coming back will have the game of his life, saving everything including the kitchen sink and having the ball diverted onto the woodwork at least three times. An ex-manager or old player, particularly if given monumental stick by Palace fans, will often have the last laugh. So, perhaps not a cast iron guarantee, but has happened so many times that I'm always fearful.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid boss and former Argentina midfielder Diego Simeone is the latest name to be linked to Goodison Park. That's certainly come from left field!

Not really as he's been on the radar for some time. The only reason it has not got too many column inches is the fact that most people have dismissed it as fantasy by the Everton Money Man, and anyone connected with Simeone has said he wouldn't even consider it =; He's certainly not going to take the job coz of his lifelong desire to manage Everton, I think it's safe to say that he doesn't actually WANT to live in Liverpool, so the only chance is to offer so much money that he cant turn the offer down ......... over to you Mr Moneyman
