"Man Utd preparing £45m bid for Pickford

Manchester United are preparing a £45m bid for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to the Daily Star Sunday.

The England No 1 is said to be top of Erik ten Hag's list of potential replacements for David de Gea as the Spaniard's contract stalemate continues.

Ten Hag has identified Pickford, who has 53 England caps, as the best available option between the posts due to his excellent shot-stopping and brilliant distribution.

Everton reportedly have the biggest wage bill outside the 'top six' despite battling against relegation for the past two seasons so could be ready to sell the 29-year-old."

Always said Man ure had more money than sense ......... any bid over 45p is too much for t-rex (he of the tiny arms)

Bad timing. If they'd done it a bit sooner, they could have gotten Rogers. Now he's lost to the higher echelons of the Scottish game (again).

Love Jim (scotty) White's comment when asking if Rogers move to Celtic was a sideways move, or was it seen as a step down ............. AND he managed to say it with a straight face.
Assuming he was still at his last club (Leicester) now in the Championship it would still be a step down from there.
He's gone to manage a team that plays in the equivalent of the English League 1 (third tier)

Agree Statts... L1 L2 is where any SPL should be started if they ever join in with the big boys.. quick example Kevin Van Veen at Motherwell couldnt hit a pigs arse with a shovel in the English game yet just broke the scoring record North of the border

And their great striker (forgot his name hes so good) that managed a goal & an assist for the Jock National team will return to the Championship relegation fight with QPR next season

The Saudis are trying to get their league a higher profile, and on the very day Ronaldo said yes to playing there it propelled their league above the Jock Premier in the standings

With Scottish Premiership investment on par with the Sassenach L1 or 2 What's so remarkable here?

Anyhoo, one hook, two massive bites and I don't even like fishing.

Reet on Q ... cannee beat a wee bot a foshin

Scunny sign Callum Roberts from SPL ABERDEEN ... by all accounts a great player lets hope he can adjust to the higher level in NLN

Upon signing Cal commented .... it was cold and dark everyone talked in a foreign language and they made me wear a dress , the football was pub league so when Scunny came in for me it was a no brainer to move to a bigger club and a higher level league.
