A "rejuvenated " Manchester United are leading 3-0 at half time against Fulham.....its just like the good old days !
Man Citeh are 4-0 up at half time against Norwich.
Things looking decidedly dodgy for Martin Jol and Chris Hughton.
Blame me for the Chelsea result.....I replaced Remy with Torres in my Fantasy League team !

Perhaps the fact that messrs Oscar/Mata/Hazard/Lampard spent so much time and possession passing amongst themselves which made for a great possession stats but no goals could have had a bit to do with it ..
SHOTS ON TARGET ....... NEWCASTLE 8 CHELSEA 2
You don't win if you don't shoot

just getting in from watching the match at st james park in the best city in the world having consumed enough newky brown to drop a issan elephant anyway just can't get my head round this team we've got the players there that just turn up when they want to which for me is all to do with pardew. the man makes some strange subs for me taking off shola and putting cisse on when clearly shola has more of an impact on the game with his height and he can hold the ball up which cisse can not do which is a basic skill you have to have in the premiership and when your on 70 grand a week. but today's team could of matched any of the big four today no questions asked but with that I wait to see what team will turn up next week adios amigos i'm off to offie to get me some bottles of dog toon toon black and white army ( support the the team not the regime mike Ashley out )

Could have been an awful lot worse for Sunderland... Down to 9 men & a goal down by half time. Makes the second half almost a victory. But nil points while Hull take 3 is probably all that is really important.
Another game all over after 25 minutes involving a Manchester side. Citi did not rest on their laurels though & kept on pumping them in. Norwich?? The only question is will their manager depart before Fulhams'.
Second quickest Premiership goal ever, scored by the Stoke keeper. That was as good as it probably got for Stoke but a very valuable point for them.
Poor Palace... Not an especially inspired Baggies but still too good. A job to be given to someone who can win Championship games I believe.
West Ham against Villa... About what I feared. The Hammers at least have the hope that they will have strikers, one day.. Just not firing for Villa after a terrific start.
Just a bit too good from the old Premiership master, Wenger. The Gunners look a good side, Pool have two great strikers. The game ended just as that sort of encounter usually does.

Arsenal are spoiling the party just now.5 points clear whilst 3 points separates the 7 clubs chasing them.
Big week for Moyes a win in Spain (Socidead) winning 5-0 yesterday) will all but seal a place in CL knock out phase for united. A win at the weekend against Arsenal will bring them back in to the pack.
Just hope all the talk tomorrow is about action on the pitch later today, history between the 2 Welsh clubs is littered with crowd trouble and having a late kick off might prove unwise. But hey who cares, they shouldn't be there anyway

Magpie73, perhaps it could be said that Pardew deserves the credit for changing the teams tactics at half time.magpie73 wrote:just getting in from watching the match at st james park in the best city in the world having consumed enough newky brown to drop a issan elephant anyway just can't get my head round this team we've got the players there that just turn up when they want to which for me is all to do with pardew. the man makes some strange subs for me taking off shola and putting cisse on when clearly shola has more of an impact on the game with his height and he can hold the ball up which cisse can not do which is a basic skill you have to have in the premiership and when your on 70 grand a week. but today's team could of matched any of the big four today no questions asked but with that I wait to see what team will turn up next week adios amigos i'm off to offie to get me some bottles of dog toon toon black and white army ( support the the team not the regime mike Ashley out )
He also called Cabaye over before he took the free kick that led to the first goal and gave him instructions.
I'm not saying he gets it right ALL the time, but perhaps we should cut the guy a bit of slack when he does
Jose will be looking over his shoulder if he loses many more ....... Ruskie boy doesn't like LOSERS

The 1st half it was just a matter of time before Chelsea scored and the flood gates would open, especially as the 1st choice central defence was absent for Newcastle.
The transition in the 2nd half(and from the previous weekend) was incredible with Newcastle pretty much dominate for 45 minutes.
Good game to watch for the neutral.
Been quite a few games this season not gone the way they where expected, hope that continues at OT next week.

i'm not cutting pardew any slack he changed his tactics that much this season he's finally noticed that 4-4-2 is the formation that works for the toon plus he's not giving any pre or post match interviews with the 3 local newspapers by order of that fat ---- Ashley i'll give the team credit but not pardew or Ashley

Possibly the most boring and uneventful game of the EPL so far his season.
Didn't do my fantasy footy team much good either

@mathusalah80 I support my team as in the players that take to field of play but there's one thing I will never support an thats mike Ashley and his cockney mafia

Cardiff will be doubly pleased with their home victory. Takes them away from the bottom of the table, never mind the Welsh bragging rights. You have to feel that they will spend much of the season kicking around the bottom though. At the moment there are worse sides getting worse results.
Not the sort of game that The Swans are especially good at. All passion & effort - they tend to be a bit more measured & dispassionate, for all that the had goalkeeper Vorm dismissed right at the end...
No game tonight as it is the Europeans week...

Only another 24 years and you may win it again.
No Chance if the year doesn't end in 37 or 73 :-"
In the meantime I'll just keep it safely in my hands

Can't see either of us winning owt to be honest, not in my time anyway
My old man was one of the very few at both those games, sadly passed away just last year at 98 and was still football mad (but like all the auld folks claimed he lost interest when Shack left)

I'm sure Eurosport didn't want to publish this ........
The occasion of the first ever all-Welsh top flight derby between Swansea City and Cardiff City generated huge excitement among players, fans and media alike.
And Sky Sports, in their inimitable style, decided to go all bombastic with their build-up to Sunday's match, by starting their coverage with dramatic, swooping helicopter fly-bys of both cities.
There was only one problem: the two cities they flew over with their helicopter fly-bys weren't Cardiff and Swansea. They were Cardiff and Newport.
Perhaps Sky were banking on the average casual viewer not really noticing - but to residents of either Swansea or Newport the gaffe was startlingly obvious.
One thing in particular should probably have given the game away. Swansea is rightly famed for the stunning beach which runs along the southern edge of the city; while Newport is famous for the picturesque river wending its way through town, together with the transporter bridge which crosses over the water.
Armed with that basic information, it's pretty clear in the picture above which of the two was used.
We're not entirely sure what happened. Perhaps Sky Sports had some work experience lads in for half term week.
Perhaps they had a full-strength team of London media types who didn't care which was which and didn't think anybody else would.
Perhaps they genuinely thought that 'Newport' was merely the local language translation of 'Swansea'.
Perhaps they decided to save a bit of cash by re-using helicopter fly-by footage from the 2010 Ryder Cup, which was held on the edges of Newport at Celtic Manor (you can actually see the course at the top of the picture).
Most tantalising of all is the idea that they actually sent a pilot and camera crew out to do a new fly-by, but that crew managed to circle over a city some 50 miles to the east of their intended destination.
Whatever happened, Sky Sports got well and truly busted by fans who instantly spotted the gaffe. And as the only media organisation on earth never to have made a mistake of any sort (cough!) we thought we'd share it with a wider audience.

No early game &, to be honest, not an awful lot to excite in the later games, unless you happen to be a fan of one of the sides involved..
Wait 'till tomorrow for me I guess..
