James was valued at around 75 million as little as two years ago so quite a slide there, no? Let's say Everton pays the approximate 25 million asking price for James, the talk so far is how Ancelotti hasn't been given any war chest to buy what he wants. So with another 25 million already gone for Napoli's Allan, is this all he's gonna (be allowed to) get?
No, Mr Moshiri has said " He Can Have what He Needs " :D :D :D

I can see Matt80 jumping in here soon, and chastising OFT for stealing his thunder on all the EPL threads.

Yes Eagle eyes.Heavens, lucky you are such an avid Association Football fan . \:D/  Should have publicized the obvious fact, we are one and the same person. I am experiencing problems with my ancient computer, preventing me from logging in under''mathusala80'. So, for the time being, at least, I am safe from his chastisement 8-[ :D .

Thanks for asking, OFT.

The mighty WCE won again tonight, and are well placed for another credible attack on the premiership. :D

ps your late edit is noted. You had me worried for a while, trying to figure out who/what Scot's College are.

The irony of the situation is that someone who, almost certainly in his life, has never played a competitive game of football; attended one of the football stadiums to watch an EPL game and doesn't follow any particular Club, giving his loyalty to it, should have such complete unfettered control of the EPL threads. The contempt which he frequently displays towards other members, is another subject altogether.

EPL please OFT. Some posters have some interest in the EPL entertainment industry and wish to discuss it. If you calmed down we could focus on the business.

Interesting observation about Everton statts ("bunch of individuals wearing similar shirts"). What do you think 747man? Fair comment?

Good one. Perhaps I should have advised of my change to OFT. It was necessitated because my ancient computer is throwing tantrums, and refusing to allow me to log in under 'mathusalah''. Thankfully there is little prospect of the early return of the later to punish me, for my excellent impersonation. \:D/
Upon rechecking my original post, I considered the last paragraph petty, and below the standards I set for myself. Hence the deletion.
When making my reference to Scotts College, I wondered whether my senile old mind was naming the wrong college. The college to which I refer is/was WA's large, and most expensive. It was in the vanguard willing to embrace, publicly, Association Football. The college changed it's curriculum to include allowing freedom to choose between Ozzie Rules and Association football The facilities provided to give the latter the initial momentum required, were second to none.
WA was the first Australian State to conduct a two week residential Senior Coaching Course, recognized by FIFA/FA .The accommodation and other essential services were provided by that college. At the time, the WA State Coach was the ex Portsmouth and England winger, Ron Tindall, who was put in overall charge of the course. I have long since forgiven him for failing me at my first attempt to obtain my Badge, which I was fortunate enough to obtain at my second attempt. :-k [-(
Since those days the rapid advancement of the code in Australia is evidenced by the National side qualifying for the World Cup Finals, on three occasions.
Anyone who is offended by this response to jackspratts being off topic , (which will most certainly not include any serious football fans), should immediately report it to Admin, ( perhaps as a group! ), where I am sure it will receive the most sympathetic of consideration.

PS. I am also delighted, and surprised Jack, at the form being shown by the Eagles this season. Lets hope they can maintain it! :-k

Name three :-"
Your usual sidetracking to avoid the embarrassment of not being able to reply truthfully regarding the true history of your involvement, OR NOT, in Association Football, AND to DM's allegation of the insulting and contemptuous nature of your references to this Forum's members, in your posts on Ud Social, which clearly demonstrates we each have scored a bulls eye.
A frustrated rhetorical question: At what stage will Admin consider you have exceeded the limits of decent behaviour, too many times, and ban you permanently from this Forum. Unfortunately I suspect and you already know the answer would be 'Never'
My personal opinion is that you really are an extremely nasty and moronic person. An opinion I have reason to believe is shared by several other members. It speaks to your mental peculiarity that, that information, will actually provide you with a sense of pride and satisfaction.

Mention of Leyton brings back memories for me. I played for them, as an amateur, for half a season .I especially remember the palatial stadium , the often cold baths and the dressing room toilet buckets. I was never able to find out where they put the cows on match day! :-s :-k

When are we getting back to posting banter about the EPL football industry? Have you finished yet?

You're looking more than a bit silly. We need a couple of humdinger posts from 747man to get us going on the football.

I disagree. This is the EPL banter thread although you boys stretch that a mile. The other thread is for more solemn football discussions. Admin thought there was a demand for this distinction and thought it worth trying. I can't understand why you guys aren't trying to take advantage of it.
