Pleased to be wrong with my prediction, although conceding early gave concern. Palace fortunate with a heavily deflected equaliser, but from then on, a very lively showing.

The Spuds 0 Chelski 0
A bit of a disappointing game,I thought, but it was pulsating compared to the recent Manchester derby !
A draw was a fair result but I thought Spurs gave Chelsea too much room to play instead of pressing them hard from the kick off.
Alderweireld was Spurs best player and Oscar the best Chelsea man on view but others opinions may differ ! =;

Norwich 1 Arsenal 1

Rickie Lambert comes off the bench to salvage a point for West Brom.
James Milners penalty sends Liverpool up to 6th.
Arsenal drop two points and lose Sanchez and Koscielny to injury.

Well pre-season if I had seen some of the above scores I would have expressed surprise. As this season has gone, they are not quite so much so at all.
Citi continue to be as inconsistent as ever &, despite paying a fortune for a squad, when certain of their regulars are missing they can look very average indeed.
The Gunners can flatter to deceive &, unless they can find a magic solution to their injury problems, will probably fall short again this year.
Chelsea's woeful season continues at a pace that is hard to comprehend. Just when it looks like they have steadied the ship it is on the rocks again. Wholesale January changes??? History shows that is a mighty big gamble, but without them even 5th. spot is starting to look far, far away.
The slow death by boredom continues at Manchester United at a speed that surely has to be stopped before season end. If this is the road to success that other Premiership teams emulate then the Italian league will start to resemble a feast of football in comparison.
Meanwhile Leicester march on & show all how it should be done. For once Vardy failed to find the net, but it mattered little as Mahrez netted 3 of his own instead.
It is, surely, not possible that they could actually win it, could they?? Well, they will if they keep on winning while those around them continue to throw points away... :D

Stoke put on a great display and some of their attacking football was a pleasure to watch.

Red Devil's fans must be totally bemused not only at what happens on the pitch but also by LvG post match interviews. Seems he can do no wrong.

Chelsea losing at home - I doubt many would have predicted that one.

Arsenal were hot and cold and maybe a bit fortunate.

How the hell did WBA midfielder McArthur stay on the pitch with what could have been a career ending tackle.

Felt a bit sorry for Vardy as he should have converted at least one of the three good chances he had.

Even though they are having a shocking season,I was very surprised by the Chelsea result but what a great win for Bournemouth and I'm sure many neutrals hope they survive against all the odds.
Looking even more likely that Pep Guardiola will be at Manchester City next season.
I think Gary Monk must be fearing the worst after that result but well done to Leicester who continue to amaze us.
No surprise at the United result. Its like watching the Italian teams of the 1970's without the theatrics.I can see us going out of the Champions League on Tuesday after a 0-0 draw in Wolfsburg.Sadly the one man who could have brought exciting football back to Old Trafford,Klopp, has gone to Liverpool who face struggling Newcastle in tonights match with a kick off of 11pm Thai time.

[quote="Zidane"]Even though they are having a shocking season, I was very surprised by the Chelsea result .

Why surprise Zid? Chelsea have failed to win in ELEVEN of the club's 15 EPL matches. The only wins have been against bottom club Villa; 16th, placed Norwich; 10th place WBA, and at home against Arsenal, who finished the match with ten men and had seven first choice players unavailable.
Incidentally, it cannot be over emphasized the results of these four matches, and the outstanding 4-1 Capital Cup win against mighty WALSALL, :-s are the only domestic results for which The Mouth is responsible :-" [-o< . Taking into account that he was in no way responsible for the team selection, tactics and motivation of the Chelsea Team, in respect of the eight matches lost, and the four drawn, coupled with the deliberately prejudicial behaviour of all the match officials involved, and the unco-operative attitude of the opposing players & their tactically inferior Managers, it is clear The Mouth is the only person associated with Chelsea FC, whose reputation deserves to remain unblemished! \:D/
But all is not yet lost. Chelsea have played only against Bournemouth since The Mouth stated he was satisfied with his current squad, and therefore did not need to buy any players in January ( any bet?)s; that the team could still make the top four, and could still win the Champion's League ( \:D/ ), and the FA Cup. Oh, and, of course, the whole of the squad absolutely love and admire him, most particularly DeCosta, Hazard , Oscar and TERRY :-s :-$ . With his world wide reputation for ?????????????????????????, how can anyone doubt anything he says!
PS. Can't wait to see Leicester v Chelsea on 15 December, with the former managed by Rannieri, who many believe laid the foundations of, and deserves a great deal of credit for, the successful Chelsea team, upon which The Mouth built his reputation. A familiar pattern in JM's career.

[quote="Zidane"]Even though they are having a shocking season,I was very surprised by the Chelsea result but what a great win for Bournemouth

Media headline:"Jose Mourinho blames referee, time-wasting in loss to Bournemouth"
Chelsea lost for the eighth time in 15 matches this season, falling 1-0 at home to Bournemouth.
As is now customary, Jose Mourinho followed up the loss by throwing blame on everyone but his team and himself. Mourinho once again argued that Chelsea should have been awarded a penalty, and even called out Bournemouth for time-wasting.
Mourinho direct quote: "We didn’t deserve to lose. Our opponent – in the period that they thought only of defence – managed to get a goal and there was a clear mistake from the referee.
I think it is a clear handball and penalty with the score at 0-0. In the first half we were not aggressive enough, in the second half we arrived in dangerous positions a lot of time with a lot of crosses from the right hand side from Ivanovic.
They played in a way that some call intelligent, some say is not fair play. They were taking time, calling for the medical department and drinking water like it is basketball time out."
In fact, Bournemouth played and won, in the established classic Mourinho manner! It is commonly referred to as, "being hoisted with your own petard" :-" ;) \:D/

Newcastle 2-0 Liverpool
It appeared that the home side required very little divine intervention as the weird weekend results continued.
I thought Pool stood a real chance under Klopp of sneaking up on the blind-side & getting something this season, but that looks like becoming carried away. Pool are still lacking class all over the pitch & the new manager will require time (& will undoubtedly make a few slip ups along the way) to alter things at the club.
Pool played poorly & so let Newcastle ease into the game & gain in confidence.
I don't think that the result means Newcastle fans can look forward to a Happy New Year, nor that Pool fans should despair. It is what happens next that counts..
This is what their respective run ups to the New Year look like...

Even given the up & down nature of results this season, I suspect that Pool will take a few more points out of these games than their rivals last night will.. :D

I wasnt sure what thread to put this on but what a sad story.....an Arsenal fan for 80 years and a gust of wind blows him into a bus whilst he was on his way to watch Arsenal.......RIP

Arsenal fan Ernie Crouch, 90, killed in bus accident on way to match

The incident happened near Finchley Central Tube station
Arsenal supporters have paid tribute to a "legendary" 90-year-old fan of the club who died after he was blown by the wind against a bus in north London.
Ernie Crouch is thought to have been caught by a gust and blown off the pavement near Finchley Central station on Saturday.
Emergency services were called, but Mr Crouch died at the scene a short time later.
Fans said he had been on his way to Arsenal's match against Sunderland.

'Since 1934'
Arsenal tweeted: "Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong fan Ernie Crouch. May he rest in peace."
According to fans on social media, he had supported Arsenal since 1934.
Pat Hale of Arsenal Supporters Club told BBC Radio 5 live: "He travelled to every away game with us and always had his regular front seat.
"It is going to be very upsetting next Sunday morning [Arsenal play Aston Villa away] to get on the bus and he won't be there.
"Football was just his life. He promised his son not to go to any more away games when he turned 90, but last week we saw him at Norwich.
The TV presenter Piers Morgan tweeted: "RIP Ernie Crouch. Followed Arsenal for 80yrs. Died yesterday when high winds blew him into a bus on way to game."
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
