Yes. The Jays used to play at the CNE. Their first game vs. the Chi-Sox in April 1977 was played in the snow!

A bit nippy tonight, no?
I think Neuer will be warming a bench for the next game.

Eh?stattointhailand wrote: ↑November 23, 2022, 6:01 pmCertainly not a fan of individuals/groups waiting 12 years with very little proper push back, and then spoiling the occasion for the 800 odd players and even more back room staff for whom it should probably be the highlight of their careers by de liberately making trouble
BTW there have now been 607 mass shootings in USA this year, are the relevent authorities gonna tell them to get that sorted out before the next world cup?
Get a grip.

What's this "those who like to partake in alcohol" nonsense?deankham wrote: ↑November 23, 2022, 6:29 pmWhat on earth are you talking about you troglodyte?
So far we have had a fantastic opening ceremony in a fantastic stadium, England have made a good start and Saudi have provided an early upset.
The fans have gotten great weather and plenty of hotel bars are packed with those who like to partake in alcohol.
Have you taken the oath then? Gianni would be so proud of you.
Sheesh.

Look for British North America to down Belgium by a 2-1 or 3-1 score. You heard it here first.

Re: World Cup 2022 (at the moment)
Well, I got the Belgium score correctly. The poor British North America squad had their chances, but failed to put the biscuit in the basket. The galling part is that the Canucks defeated both the United States and Mexico yet those teams have a point compared to us. Boo-hoo.Laan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑November 23, 2022, 11:44 pmLook for British North America to down Belgium by a 2-1 or 3-1 score. You heard it here first.

Interesting :
THE Fédération Internationale de Football Association (Fifa) today (Nov. 23) threatened to cut off the live broadcast of World Cup 2022 knockout stage matches that begins on Dec. 3 and ends on Dec. 18 with the final match after it discovered licence infringement with signals spreading from Thailand to other countries, Thai Rath newspaper said.
Fifa warned Thailand to urgently fix this leak to other countries or else it will halt the live broadcast which would prevent Thai football fans from watching the biggest global football tournament.
Sports Authority of Thailand Governor Kongsak Yodmanee has sent a letter to National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) to inform all digital terrestrial television programme providers, including all five multiplex networks and Thaicom Plc, as well as set-top-box and cable service providers under must-carry regulation, to comply with the Fifa licence terms.

Re: World Cup 2022 (at the moment)
Interesting that the attendance figs for nearly every game have been ABOVE the stadium capacity, and yet in reality the TV pictures are showing loads of empty seats. One can only assume (shock horror) that someone is not being entirely truthful

IF you managed to read the Inernational News including Thai News, you might be surprised, instead of posting meaningless rubbish !!!!!!!!!!!!!Drunk Monkey wrote: ↑November 24, 2022, 7:30 amWhat ..that cant be true ..FAKE NEWS ..

This Bud's for you, but not here.

Budweiser had paid $75 million to sponsor the games this year, which features teams from 32 countries.
Two days before this year's event was scheduled to begin, FIFA — the governing body of international soccer — announced that alcohol will not be sold inside the stadiums.

Sheesh.
I'm happily making a wee dent into that Budweiser stock pile every day, while enjoying the games.
The German's v the Japs was a cracker. Nothing more pleasing to an Englishman than the hun getting spanked. I may have upset my German neighbour yesterday but never mind.
Oh and Spain looked quality. Great passing of the ball. They are my new top pick, after England of course.

Anyone into statistics worked out if the teams making most noise about this LGBQT stuff tend to fair badly on the field? Or is it just the Jermins for now?
