Fantasy Football
If you want a laugh, wait until you see my team. I had Ronaldo in my lineup but overheard (overread?) in the forum that he's out until October so dumped him and his 14M price tag.
Anyone know how long Mickey Rooney will be out? He's also in my lineup.
I'm surprised they haven't kicked me out of this league already.

Rooney is recovered I believe PH. Not sure if he will play today in the Charity Shield but should be up to the opening match in the league next week.
Yes if you look at a player in the FL & see the i by a players name has a red background then there is some additional information available on him. In the case of Ronaldo it says he has a foot injury & is expected back in October...

DARREN ANDERTON FIT??? He is not a physio... He is the messiah. I wonder did he utter words like, "Lazarus, I mean Anderton pick up thy bed and walk."stattointhailand wrote:Sell him to Bournemouth ........ or get their physio up to Old Trafford ...... Somehow, whether by luck or skill they have got the origional "sick note" Darren Anderton fit, playing, and scoring goals. Or maybe it's coz they signed him on a "pay when play" basis.
Week 1 of Fantasy Football was very interesting. My goal in joining the league is to learn more about the game and I'm off to a flying start. Watched most of the Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd games. Learning which players and teams have game and which fantasy owners do not. Mine. OK, my team is in last place but the other owners will never live it down if a Yank finishes ahead of any of them.

Good for you giving it a go. I make the comparison of myself predicting American Football and I wouldn't have much of a clue. With my defence leaking goals, forwards ineffective, it was only Arteta and Downing that saved me from complete embarrassment. One might have expected Pompey to put up a better show at Chelsea, but were outplayed. Spurs fans would surely have hoped for something at Boro. And the Geordies surprised everyone by getting a point at United. But wasn't it quiet when Newcastle scored! Ha ha. Man U fans? not used to that.

Didn't suprise me Man U are often below par on week one (and two and three last year ) and Newcastle have in recent years usually had a good week one result ...... ITS THE REST OF THE SEASON I'M WORRIED ABOUT

You could be right Statto. Zidanes not looking forward to this weekend. Reckons Pompey are a bogey side for Utd.stattointhailand wrote:I'm bringing Pompy defenders in this week BECAUSE they are playing against Man Utd "powder-puff" attack.
If Utd had trouble scoring against them over 120mins at Wembley, what are their chances of scoring at Fratton Park over 90 mins?
Could be another 0-0.
