FRANK CLEARED
Posted on: Tue 03 Feb 2009

The Football Association has announced that Frank Lampard's claim for wrongful dismissal following his sending-off on Sunday has been successful.

An FA statement reads:

At an independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, a claim for wrongful dismissal from Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard was upheld.

As a result, Lampard's three-match suspension has been withdrawn.

Lampard was shown a red card for serious foul play during Sunday's Premier League match against Liverpool.

As if there isn't enough to think about with the transfers and this weeks "Double Bubble", you need to keep an eye open for week 27 (League Cup Final Man U v Spurs) .... in addition to those two Portsmouth and Sunderland don't play that week. The following week (wk 28) it's "Double Bubble" for Fulham & Blackburn.

Just a thought, but if anyone is having probs with injuries/suspensions etc, and cannot field a full team this week, it's worth getting rid of one of the injured players and bringing in a "Double Bubble" player, as the 2 x 2pts will "pay" the transfer charge (-4pts), so anything the new signing actually scores is a bonus, and if he only gets the 2 x 2pts it hasn't cost anything, as the injured player would have scored 0pts anyway :-k

Think we all had a little change this week...i would have ditched Gerrard but will hang on to him for a couple of weeks, and didn't want to loose 4 more points....if only i could get more Man Yoo in the team..!!

I think I will have to let Gerrard go just as a favour to the lad... My curse is still here. Now do I go against my religion and bring in a Man U player (slightly worse than converting to Islam) possibly Clistianoe Lonaldoenakhap???

Have S. Ireland as captain... He is in the last chance saloon.

Oh... Velly solly Statto. Damian Thorne strikes again.

I might be turning a corner. Bosingwa, Bramble and Lt. Agbon Oohoora scored 6, wish I'd captained one of them but the logic (if it exists) is that Ireland has 2 games this matchweek.

Took my own advice and got rid of an injured player in favour of Double bubble player Kompany and he scored 8pts in the first of the two matches \:D/

Geordie, If your thinking of joining the league next year, why don't you join up for the rest of the season, and use it as "practice". I'm still learning what and what not to do after 25 weeks, it's not as easy as it looks. I'm sure we will all promise not to take the "p" too much :^o

The link to the FF site is on page 1 of this thread

Go on ...... give it a go
