Re: Fantasy Football
A decent week for most Even Irish Alan cracked a 60 pointer (maybe you visited the Ex- mother in law bearing fine gifts..), Zidane and Bob H(good result with Turner and Woodengate last night) move on up and take Galees and Brians places, Highset score Souness at 73 well done.
Re: Fantasy Football
Man U, Sunderland, Portsmouth and Tottenham not scheduled this coming week.....
Might have to bite the bullet and leave a Sunderland defender in my starting lineup this week since already used a transfer. Had Paintsil penciled in but looks like he's suspended (too many yellows?). Oh well, lots of time left before have to make a decision to use another transfer.

Re: Fantasy Football
Miracle Monday night BM - I thought I was going for the lowest ever points score!!!
Had to spend 8 points with subs this week.....
Couldn't field a goalie (Spurs & Man U, defence or mid field without....
Oh well I hope they get me those 8 back at least......

Re: Fantasy Football
Anyone got a clue how to make an "advanced" transfer. Need to make transfer for week 28 before week 27 matches, as will have no computer access prior to week 28 (midweek) matches.
Major headache as to who to play in wk 27, but descided to use three players who wont play, and have them Auto substituted. If I put them on the bench for wk27, they will have to stay there for wk 28. I've got to keep 2x Fulham and 1 x Sunderland player in my wk 27 line up, or they will miss out on Double bubble on wk 28. Who the 'ell said this game was easy

Re: Fantasy Football
I've just checked on FF to see if I can do anything as Administrator, but no can do. Think all you can do is give your password to someone you trust to do it for you.
I did notice that I can delete the league. Very tempting, very tempting.

Re: Fantasy Football
Torres out injured again with an ankle injury this time.Benitez says he is likely to miss a few matches according to BBC Sport.
A shame because the last couple of weeks I had been juggling with my squad with a view to transferring him in.
So Anelka might get another chance as he might be rejuvenated for a while with Hiddink taking over at Chelsea.
Cant pick Berbatov or Rooney with the Carling Cup Final being Uniteds match this weekend besides the way Sir Alex shuffles his squad they are never 100% sure of playing.eg.Van der Saar and Vidic....very lucky with autosubs for some.

Yes ..... it didn't go un-noticed that a couple of individuals had VdS autosubbed with Schwarzer (12pts).
Off to Koh Chang this weekend, to meet a mate from UK to "have tea and talk football".
My manager (mr Wayne Kerr) once again proved he hasn't got a clue how to motivate the shirkers, with last weeks dismal performance (8 out of 11 players scoreing 2 or less points).
He may be a good manager of prima donnas, but when it comes to getting cheap players to perform week in week out he leaves a lot to be desired. When he took the job he promised " good performances with steady progress" ............. and to buy me a beer or two , but he hasn't delivered either.
We can live with the bad performances, as it's only the fans that have the problem, and they are so stupid they will still pay fifty quid for a new shirt, no matter who's name is on the back, but not buying the beer that's another matter.
Hopefully after my trip to the seaside (ok, few days lazing on my yaught) I will be able to announce the name of the new messiah that will skyrocket the shirkers up the table and into a top six finish where they belong (well we did it twenty years or so ago).

i think i earned it though(but should trust Schwarzer a little more)...the amount of fretting, shouting and F'ing and blinding i did when i found out Van Deer Sar was taking a rest..!! (and vidic was on the bench.. ) Man u players where piss poor last week, and a fat zero this week too.it didn't go un-noticed that a couple of individuals had VdS autosubbed with Schwarzer (12pts)
This week should be ok for my other privileged members, hoping for Gerrard to return to full power.

Re: Fantasy Football
Another week over...a fair one it was..BUT did expect better, lost out on an Auto sub (3 defender rule...which i totally over looked when making transfers.. ) a last minute 2 goal for stoke didn't help..Anelka not scoring..Man City not performing..and Gerrard not being what he should have been...ohh well onto this weeks games...
Top scorer Gozzo...63, closely followed by our very own Galee with 62...Souness stays top slot with 57..Ron and his barflys move on up with a 53, not a good weekend for zidane with 25.
And the opponent in my head to head scored a massive 10 this week...

Re: Fantasy Football
Sean, you’ve surely got it sewn up, so can’t you take your summer break like NOW!
Caught a few games this weekend and have to say nothing that really made me go wow. Maybe 2nd half of Villa v Stoke was different (bed beckoned me) but 1st was reminiscent of the siege in ‘Zulu’. Two very late Stoke goals confirmed you can assume nothing and will have really made Martin O’Neil’s weekend!
I appreciate referees have difficult job. I can’t personally understand why the equivalent of cricket’s third umpire can’t be tried. I feel the booking of Hull’s Turner? should be rescinded for what was a 50/50 clash with Robinson. ‘Keepers over protected? I saw nothing that warranted a yellow. In contrast, names desert me, but I’m certain the Newcastle centre back left-hooked the Bolton forward in a challenge, the latter needing attention to his chin! Mmmmm. Ref missed it. A straight red.
Incidentally, there could be a kit man vacancy at Blackburn if anyone interested. Anybody else notice the expensive striker’s name on shirt was spelt SATNA Cruz?
Or are my eyes just getting worse?

Re: Fantasy Football
Nope, not a good week for me but despite such a low score I still won in the Head to Head.
In the past I've lost when I 've had a score in the 60's.
Gozzo going very well for a few weeks now coming up from 7th with a chance of breaking in the top 3.

Re: Fantasy Football
It would appear that the FF website is not keeping up with the injured players situation.
From what I have read 2 of my squad are extremely doubtful for the midweek games, but on FF they are still OK to play!!!!
Tempted to make another transfer, but don't want to take another 4 point hit.

Re: Fantasy Football
I've been trying to keep quiet, not wanting to jinx myself. But I am happy with my FF team at the moment, not making many transfers at all lately. Lampard is back to scoring again, but I have to say that the best value player by far IMO is Schwarzer. I'm biased because he is an Aussie but I think he is the best goalkeeper in the league and in FF he is very good value.Zidane wrote:Nope, not a good week for me but despite such a low score I still won in the Head to Head.

It is a pity about Arteta getting injured. Replaced him with Kuyt but he will have to lift his game to be anywhere near as good as an Everton midfielder.
This FF league is definitely great fun and even though I don't see any of the games it still increases my knowledge of players from other teams. ......... I think.

He's only dirty when he's playing against Everton. I don't care what he does against the other teams as long as he doesn't get red carded.747man wrote:Gozzo, What are YOU doing Picking a Dirty Cu*t like KuytGozzo wrote:I've been trying to keep quiet, not wanting to jinx myself. Besides, I can pick him without too much pain because I'm not a Scouser. If he don't score, he's out.

Yes schwarzer is a diamond... Unlike kuyt...he has been in my team twice now, never again, nor will Robinho come anywhere near me, Not sure about Gerrard this week...is he playing...?????? Made 1 change so far...would like to do another before deadline though....getting itchy fingers on the keyboard.

Yeah, and with Arbeloa now definitely out, and one other player a maybe, tempted to do another. Bloody game.
Reckon I've changed my captain 5 times today.
Will be doing 2 transfers next week also.
