Re: Premier League 2017-18
Wot !!!! no Everton ??
Perhaps their commentators have asked for a month or two to identify who is in their team, or maybe they just think it will take till Christmas before the team have "gelled" enough to be worth showing
They are showing the Everton game (week 2) at Man City ........... early morning oil lamps will be required in Nongers though (02:00 Tues 22 Aug)
Newcastle/Spuds/Man Utd being shown week 1 and week 2 ............ you know it makes sense

sad new today one of the premier league's and England's finest mascot's Bradley lowery passed away today at the age of 6 years old to neuroblastoma a childhood cancer the young man fought it to the end with a smile on his face I've followed his battle on social media since it was confirmed that it was terminal for the young lad and he captured the heart of the nation with his cheeky smile I've had tears in my eyes since I found out young Bradley had passed away

Re: Premier League 2017-18
I really do appreciate your efforts , Statts, but pre-season friendlies??
They make Under 21 & European qualification games look like unarmed combat in comparison..
As luck has it I only have to hold onto my sanity until 18th. July (9 days & counting ) when I can then bask in West Country sunshine & look forward to the delights of watching Town in raw & live pre-season epics of their own... Although the Bath game might be a bit of a struggle to arrange..

Re: Premier League 2017-18
Sad News indeed regarding the demise of Bradley Lowery. I recall him being carried onto the Hallowed Turf of Goodison Park when the Black Cats visited. Unfortunately the subject is too close to home for us as we lost a Grandson (Nong Bev) aged 2yrs. due to a similar illness. The two cases remind us that there are more important things in life than chasing a footy around. R.I.P. both lads, taken from us much too early.

Everton defeat the Fuzzy Wuzzies in darkest Africa
Report by Mr Cholmondley-Warner
"In a gripping encounter Everton overcame the Gor Mahia Womens Institute in Dar Es Salaam yesterday to win the Toxteth Taxi Drivers Cup.
Roared on by a crowd of 37,which included many of Wayne Rooneys relatives,Everton took the lead through the legendary former striker when a mis hit pass to the wing flew into the net from 25 yards.
Stunned by this the Gor Maha ladies soon hit back through Miss Kali Masumba who dribbled through 6 Everton defenders and placed the ball firmly in the goals.
In the second half our Everton boys stood firm under wave after wave of the ladies attacks and broke away to score the winner through Kieran Dowell with just 7 minutes left.
Absolutely amazing as young Dowell was on holiday and only played as Everton didnt have enough for a full team.
But a magnificent win for the Everton boys which bodes well for their chances of avoiding relegation from the English Premiership next season.
Much sterner tasks lie ahead for this team starting with a tough encounter away to an Udon Expats XI this weekend but until then the Everton boys can bask in the glory of bringing more success to the British Empire."
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
