Premier League - the big four (English Football)

Post by oldfield » July 18, 2007, 8:24 pm

Okay, so Arsenal have lost Thiery Henry and maybe several others. Does this mean that they will drop out of the big four? (Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool being the other 3).

My question is who will replace Arsenal in the top 4.

Tottenham Hotspur with Berbatov and co.
Newcastle with big Sam and all the new money.
Man City with Thaksin and Sven.
and an outside bet of Aston Villa with loads of newbies.

If I was a betting man my money would be on Newcastle.

Thanks

Newcastle, but watch out for that other team in Manchester managed by some obscure Swede, and owned by none other than our very own Khun Thaksin.

Sorry 747man, I didn't mean to offend anyone.

I would like to see Everton do well as they are a good team. However, I was only being realistic, and I cannot see Everton making it into the top four. Not enough money to compete with the other clubs basically.

If they do as well as this year, that will be good for them.

I think Arsenal will struggle a bit this season without Henry.. I know one man doesn't make a team but I think it may be a bit psychological. I've gone for the Yids to take their place at 4.

1. Man. U...
2. Chelsea.
3. Liverpool.
4. Tottenham H.
5. Aston Villa.
6. Arsenal.

Man City to get a top 4 place. :D :D :D
Haven't laughed so much in ages.
They only just avoided relegation last year and will only just avoid it this year.

I think it will be very close between Spurs and Arsenal for the 4th place this season.
Newcastle,Villa and Everton will be battling for a UEFA Cup spot.
Man City.......well,they could hardly be worse than last time (just 10 goals at home all season).
I think with Sven and Khun Thaksins influence they will do better, maybe top 10.
Man Utd for the title......Derby,Birmingham and Fulham to be relegated.
Bolton could also struggle without Big Sam.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

You're making some bold predictions there Zidane. 'Butt' (sorry) we shall see shan't we.

Irish Alan, your prediction for the top 6 looks very astute.

IrishAlan predictions are not bad.

Only thing he has got wrong is that he has got the top two round the wrong way. :D

If the 3 people who have voted for Man City would like to PM me I'm sure we could come to some agreement on a small wager to back up their confidence.

Hi, if Man U get rid of that poser Ferdinand  :? and put in someone like Ledly individual and gain some confidence and authority in the middle at the back then they will remain supreme otherwise a repeat of previous seasons with too many cock ups in defence is inevitable

I only threw City in there just for fun. I didn't expect anyone to vote for them.
