Dropped by the original Makro on Nittayo late yesterday and it looks like their makeover is almost complete. Still needs some signage and price tagging to be completed but it's similar layout to their new, west-end branch, just bigger. I found everything I needed, some stuff has been relocated but it wasn't overly busy so all in all, much improved. I did notice that the excellent picanha (top rump) steak cuts that were popular out west are now available here with a bigger selection.

They completed the resurfacing of their parking lot a couple of months back so no more navigating potholes and puddles with a loaded cart.

After patronizing Makro since 2002 I'll have to do a long walk about visit to see where everything is relocated.... I'm averse to change but the new layout is a bit more spacious...

walk abouts plus our biweekly shopping showed a large number of product lines are gone or minimal left.. I'll just spitball here and go with Makro doing a full inventory survey and dumping lines that didn't sell well. They're still reorganizing and restocking so perhaps in another week or so I'll visit again since I still can't find some things anywhere in the place..

Today there was a lot of reorganisation happening so the organisation hasn’t settled yet.

In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

It took Thai Watsadu and DoHome many months to complete their makeovers. With similarly diverse product lines and variations in packaging, maybe Makro Nittayo will bring us months of endless discovery as well. Exciting times.
