My wife and I stopped around noonish today. Plenty of parking available. Hours: 10-10.
Well laid out grocery store.
The lasagne, and other hot ready-to-eat foods, are all cooked by The Wine Society Restaurant, which should give you an idea of their quality. Both Thai and Western food available. Also hot ready-to-eat soups (both Thai and Western), again cooked by The Wine Society Restaurant. Western food: 30 baht per serving. Thai food 25 baht per serving.
Plus, no annoying and loud background music being played :D .

hey i'm a bit confused here, firstly about 100g lasagna ? a normal portion should be about 200g, I understand Thai's are nibblers so maybe aimed at them ? plus I know villa's mark up rates for local producers. are they in foil containers ?
just seems remarkable that it can be produced so cheaply. i mean pork /cream/cheese are not cheap . but saying that if it's good and cheap, enjoy ..happy days

Papafarang are spot on,i agree.

But for some reason customers don't seem to know much about cooking in general.First of Mr.Hippo...We at Nok Restaurant DO NOT make PORK Lasanga..you get that.I get VERY upset when people like you Hippo think you know wjat's in OUR Lasanga..you don't.Beef,Italian Sausage (that's the porky bit)then FRESH herbs + dryed herbs..Same goes for the Bolognese..So PLEASE Mr.Hippo...do NOT write about something you think you know.We have been doing great tasty food for 8 years now..real Lasagna Bolognese nobody "around" make..because i haven't been to our Resturant..Welcome brother Hippo..

Ok Guys I popped in to Villa @ UD today to do some Lasagne investigation. We purchased two portions witch cost 145 Baht.
I also grabbed two portions of the spinach and cheese bake which cost 125 Baht. See attached pictures.
I will let my children have a crack at it when they get home and then post review.
I did have a taste of the the Hot Tom Ka Gai which cost 45 baht and was quite tasty.

Why dont you start a Lasagne thread?
All said and done you are the one who muscled in on the villa market thread, when someone wants to read about Villa Market why do we need you harping on about how good your food is?? [-X

I looked in the other day..
No pasta :D but a great addition to Udon.
I thought it had a far better bread/cakes & vegetable selection than the one at Landmark.
As to be expected at Villa, not cheap but good quality product at a fair price.
I still won't be doing my weekly shop there, but I certainly will visit again & buy some items that are not available elsewhere..
