Are those canine teeth a breed standard? If registered with the kennel club in Uk there would be a serious case for prosecution for cruelty. The poor dog will be severely restricted in its ability to eat and defend itself. Any dogs canine teeth could grow like that if not given the chance to gnaw a bone or two. It is so way out to think any dog lover would permit, yet alone encourage this deformity that it must be a spoof. :?:

Dog...what should I get?

Post by Alagrl » February 16, 2006, 9:44 pm

Hey, guys, did you see the colored (not white) English bull terrier that won the Westminster Dog Show this week? Gorgeous dog.

Funny dog situation at my house now -- my stepdaugher moved in with us last month with her American pit bull terrier (90 pounds of pure muscle), and the 9 pound miniature Schnauzer has completely gone "alpha male" on him. I guess it's all about territory.

I'm actually looking for the Thai Razorback or a Pug. The Thai Razorback (across the street from my shop) I am hoping he inpregnated the small bitch that is part of his harem. This is going to interesting to see what the puppies will look like, in hopes of getting one of them.

Watched my neighbour trying to get a Thai ridgeback to release the throat of his pet dog the other day.He punched and kicked the dog to no avail and only three blows with a large wooden fench post to the head made it let go.It released the dog and just trotted away as if nothing had happened.

I do not know anyone who has a ridgeback as a pet,all the owners i know have gold shops and the like and even a "yar bar head" would not take one on.

As for my neighbour, love for someone or an animal can make even the meek very brave.

PS Don't forget to get it the obligatory T-Shirt in the cooler months..

I NEVER had seen it until my first trip in Isaan.
I laughed till I cried (& nearly fell off the bike)..

The lovely model at left shows the latest '06 fashion colours- soft cotton material with designer colours, a custom neck area, all with the added benefit of being not too formal, just nice for casual or everyday wear.

Garment can be found at any nightmarket..

well this is my little terror at the age of two months. I've named him Leo, not for the beer but because he's a lovely golden tan colour like a

The vet was explaining to my wife the advantages of having him castrated later. They included, not wanting to chase after the ladies, more lovable and faithful, less likely to stray. From the laughter that ensued, I got the impression my wife was asking would she get a discount for having two done. My point that we only have one dog just brought louder and prolonged further laughter.Do you think I should be getting worried? :?:

True story - last Tuesday we were burgled here in Oz while we were asleep guarded by our old standard poodle. At least he awoke half way through the job and tackled the burglars who fled with around $3,000 worth of small items (and without this pc). We reported all the missing items to the police and insurance company and are awaiting for developments. Yesterday I noticed that a drawer which had held inexpensive items was missing something. We suddenly realised it was a largish beautifully carved and sealed box (said to contain) the ashes of our previous, much loved standard poodle, Vincent. We are thinking to advertise for the return of our stolen - dog in a box

Australian Shepard

Post by Bubbagoes » November 17, 2006, 10:52 pm

wokkawombat wrote:Bud, I have never heard of an Australian Shepherd dog and I have spent a few of my 62 years on farms in Australia. Maybe you are talking about Border Collies (sheep dogs), but apart from the border collies I do not know of any long haired working dogs in Australia.

My Thai landlord (ex- Sakon Nakhon) swears by black dogs for some reason.
The Australian Shepard is not from Australia, it is a breed recognized by the American Kennel Club. Go figure. I have had one, in fact she is still alive, but now about 14 years old and not doing so well. My ex has her.
By far the smartest dog I have ever had, easy to train, great with the kids, would run with the horses all day, never could get the truck away from the house without her trying to jump in the back.
Not worth much as a guard dog though, but I never tried to train her as such.
Did have an English Mastiff once that would only hurt a burglar if the guy fell over him when he was sleeping. Farted really bad (or well, depending), so never was a house dog.
I basically think most dogs are trainable, but I have never met a thai that would put time and effort into training one.
Just a thought, maybe you could meet the Sakon Nakorn truck before it gets home and get the pick of the litter.
