Hello,

Have you found more places where to eat lobster or homarus ?

I have actually never seen homarus in Thailand, do they import some ?

And I guess that lobsters are farmed in Thailand, right ?

Thanks.

Villa is loosing customers left and right because of NOT RESTOCKING on the items farangs want. I've heard the complaints from many now. They had better shape up and take notice. I find myself going back to Tops Market now to do a lot of shopping. Anyone from Villa LISTENING???

I seriously doubt any of the powers that be from Villa Market's head office are monitoring this thread.

I suggest directly contacting the "big boys" in Bangkok:
Customer service: 089-991-1199
customerservice@villamarket.com

And you really need to be specific about what you want. "NOT RESTOCKING on the items farangs want" is pretty vague. Remember who we are dealing with. One needs to be specific with Thais, IMO, and my experience.

FYI. Villa Market Udon store manager is Ms. Marica Maisandee, 042-247-9405. However, her English skills are limited.

Was in VM a couple of days ago to get potato waffles and breakfast pancakes ... no have ... in fact wasnt in there long as the stock was pretty sparse and i was the only customer .

I have found in general stock control / re stocking is always a problem if in the hands of a Thai ... not being negative its just they tend to leave everything to the last minute and dont allow for any problems occurring in the supply chain , not easy tho with a place with so many products from so many different suppliers so can understand why things run out and are missing for long periods .

A possible reason could be the fact that VM Udon is a franchise branch so maybe the actual direct VM owned and operated branches (not franchises) tend to get preference when coming to restocking especially this time of year .

We were in Villa Market today, the first time in quite a while.
It was pretty quiet in there but a couple of things they had at a discount price which might interest some people.....
Large Meiji milk discounted from 90 baht to 45 baht.....expiry date 3rd January.
Californian Cheddar cheese discounted to 90 baht.....expiry date April 2014.

They are normally open till 9.30pm but might close early today with it being New Years Eve ?

Also quite a few Turkeys left in the freezer but no sign of any discount yet.....

At least in Udon they are managing to get their stock levels high on the cider front, dealing with apple honey direct with deliveries and also Magners in good supply. \:D/
Was in the Bangers soi 33 last week, stock levels very high on Yorkies,Johnsonville,Bagels,Muffins but alas no Vlasic products in stock so no way will Udonsville have any in the near future.
Thought that the Franchise manager in Udon was keeping a close eye on the forum in being a sponsor :-k

Cheese cake from the The Cheese Cake Factory restaurant available at Villa for 890bt (yes eight hundred and ninety baht). I've only had fresh from the restaurant and this was too tempting to pass, it was delish and tasted the same as I remember it.

http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/menu/Cheesecakes/

A wide range of Sara Lee pies & cakes also available, Sara Lee original cheese cake for 299bt, but IMO doesn't compare to the Cheese Cake Factory.

One thing Villa Market has that I like are the "British India Restaurant" curries......Vindaloo,Madras,Jalfreizi,Rogan Josh etc.....the Madras is particularily good.
Not cheap at 190 baht but plenty of meat inside, unlike some I have had over here.

The Californian Cheddar cheese is a good buy,as well.
