Really quite surprised but Tops still selling Bells Whisky at pre budget costs, 1 litre bottle 499 Baht today. Cheaper than in Scotland!!Owld Feller wrote: ↑November 29, 2017, 9:48 pmFollowing on from a post a couple of weeks ago, it seems that the tax changes have benefited Bells Whiskey for some reason.
7/11 are now selling 70cl (700ml) bottles for 349THB, which equates to 698THB for 1.4 litres.
All I ask is pleeeeeaaase leave some for me.

Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
I think that must be the post budget price AlexO,
If it's gone down to B349 for 70oml in the budget, then that would be the same as B499 for 1 litre

Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
Whatever it says on the bottle I do not think that this is proper Scotch, I think made in Thailand or India or somewhere else but not Scotland. Tasted it once, never again.AlexO wrote: ↑December 23, 2017, 2:58 pmReally quite surprised but Tops still selling Bells Whisky at pre budget costs, 1 litre bottle 499 Baht today. Dewar's and Bell's were always the whisky of choice on the 'optics' in most pubs when I was growing up in Scotland...because it was chape!

Ok Gents, I hear all the abuse but, NAAFI duty free prices in Germany were so cheap it was the losers who had to buy the coca cola.
I have researched as much as I can and it seems legit, tastes good and has the desired effect. Merry Xmas to all.

Love the (probably unintentional) reference to Scotsman Alexander Graham BELL with the telephone box, but not sure what it's got to do with a London routemaster bus or the Elizabeth tower

And that makes it about as Authentic as my genuine fake rolex.
As if the Thai equivalent of The Advertising Standards Office could or would be bothered to do anything about fake goods

Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
Neither on the bottle nor on the box i could find such small print. On the back of the bottle one can read <<SOLE DISTRIBUTOR FOR THAILAND: DIAGEO MOET HENNESSY THAILAND LTD>> followed by their Bkk address. I doubt very much that DIAGEO would allow fake to be sold under their brand name.
Have a nice day.

Nor would Adidas or Rolex or Coco Chanel or any other leading brand name, so that proves without a doubt the rolex I got on Sukhumvit is genuine
