Does anyone know where in udon i can buy a fishing pole?

Go to the 'downunder bar' (see map) and keep going on the same side for maybe 50-75 metres and there is a tropical fish shop on the corner and it has everything you need.

Proper fish shop at the end of ayunyadet road on the right just before the junction with phon phisai road (07 on the map).

the equipment you buy here is rubbish, I brought my own gear from Aussie, problem is all the fishing is passive, no predators like our barra, in the salt maybe ok, in lakes and streams, worms worms worms, the thais fish with all kinds of bait, everything is netted so the chance of finding catching something decent is remote. The lake around Prangna, not bad, but it is jungle and you need a thai or rubber tree worker as a guide, good luck.

centerpoint night market, kinda behind 7-11 has a big fishing store, they sell fishing poles
