just saw the posts about bamboo garden,tried to post my reply there but it was locked.i just wanted to say i have stayed at bamboo every year since 1992 and would recommend to anyone.frank and niyom very friendly and helpful,nice rooms,good food[you should try niyoms pate],as for electricity charges hardly noticeable.i would recommend to anyone and i will be there again this year.

Agree Baz when i first came up here i stayed there with some mates and we all found it excellent value , paid the bill all in one and the leccy was for nowt when put against the bar bill ....... Frank and his missus were superb hosts.
Have a good day out at Wemberlee Baz ,,, hope your lot win and stick it up the rich kids. By the time you read this you will probably be cheering or crying . Rumour has it this will be the biggest ever following Stoke take somewhere so there must be aleast 100 or more going haha,,,,,,,,, includng the naughty 40 !!

I would agree on that. It looks like a nice enough place but location wise it is not good. I think it has been for sale/rent off and on in the past 3 years

I have only visited/met them one time and I had a great day there in their company! 
He told me that he usually leases the place out to someone that would like to have something to do and can make a small profit while running a relaxed social business,because his main business was his charter boats in Phuket.
He took it back after the Tsunami because the boat business was slow and he also told me that,the mistake people,leasing the business, made was moving into the 3 br house instead of just using the live in quarters,therefor losing a major portion of the income!

I am staying at the Bamboo gardens right now, I have taken the three bedroom place for a month on the recommendation of a friend.
Frank and his lovely wife have been perfect hosts, the pool is good, the food is cheap. Its only 200baht for a Taxi to Udon, and the 44 bus/car goes to Udon all day long
I have met a few good people since i have stayed here, Frank has even driven his car to drop me and the wife off at certain places without asking for any money
