Rent Room for 1-3 months (Budget: 6-7K Baht per mth)
Dear all
I am Jackson and new to this forum. I am considering to stay in Udon Thani for 1-3months and looking to rent a room. Preferably in the town area. If not it is fine.
The room must have wifi or internet connection so that I can work on my laptop.
My budget is about 6000-7000baht per month. Is it enough?
I have looked at UDProperty but wondering if the site is updated? Do you have any advice or recommendation? Many thanks in advance.

I think your budget is a little light for most of the hotels I know.
There are certainly budget Thai run for manly Thai places that might accommodate you, but you would probably need to know Thai in order to find & negotiate.
The same with private rooms, probably advertised in Thai, or just by word of mouth...

Thanks BohHelm!!
I am not looking to stay in a hotel. looking for a room instead since I would be staying for at least 1month. I saw the advertisements on UDProperty but I am not sure if the site is updated. Another alternative is Asian Backpacker Udon, but the review is bad.
Many thanks for all the advices. I am also looking to move to Udon in May 2015
Cheers!

Many thanks for all the recommendation. I understand that some members had PM me. However, as I am a new user, I am unable to reply the PM at the moment.
My preferred location will be near Central Plaza as I am more familiar with that area.
Cheers!

Please wear suitable clothing when attending a concert in Udon Thani. Slacks and short-sleeved shirts are ok, shorts, tank tops or muscle shirts are not.

A mate of mine has asked me to respond to your request/requirement for rental.
He suggests 'Jingjoes' accomodation - Call Goy on 0845130579 or Peter Jackson on 0879509504 re a room. She speaks good English. It is a couple of kms out of town and opposite the NB hotel on the road to Makro and Big C.

Try the KINNAREE.This place has many rooms small, medium , large. My friend rents a room there costs him 5500 a month for the room. Its is about 50 sq meter has hot shower, cable tv, air con and wifi internet. Its is fully furnished and has a outside kitchen. They have many rooms starting from 2500 bhat up to about 12,000 bhat. Also down stairs they have a restaurant and bar. This place is about 3km from Central Plaza. Its a very good place and the boss are nice people and always helping there tenants if they have any problems.

Good. If you can read "room for rent or room to rent" in Thai language, you'd probably see heaps of places if you travelled around Udon. Some of them might be quite new and in good condition. That might be the best way to pick up a decent place. If you are a respectable farang they will be happy for you to stay.

Can anyone tell me if Lotus Condotel's current advertised prices are still accurate? 279 bhat a night for a standard room? I know they're a sponsor here but their internet link isn't currently working so I'm not sure if this price is outdated. Does anyone know if they do monthly rates and if so how much? Lastly if anyone stays in the surrounding neighbourhood, can you recommend the go to Telco for a wifi internet connection? thanks
