Hi Lien,

There is only one sort of hotel and a couple of resort guest house, the one my TW recommends is Natapong resort hotel, Have not got a telephone number at the moment, but we are going past it today so if I can get details for you I will.

The place is easy to find, one you have driven over the mountain and you approach Nong Bua Lamphu, you come across all the big garages Nissan etc it's on the right side and well advertised.

About 23 clicks out of NBLP is a nice resort with a huge swimming pool. Run by a German and his Thai wife. Nice rooms and very well maintained. Beds are a bit too hard for my liking - but may be passable for you. They will accomodate your desires, and put extra padding on the mattress to make it softer for you if desired. Cost is 500 Baht per day.

Place is called Nookid Resort in Naklang.

Hi all I may be staying in Nong Bua Lamphu in June. Does anybody know if there are apartment complexes with aircon and hopefully cable TV there? I don't really want to rent a house just yet.

Thanks Paul. I am planning on staying at least 3 months there so I was thinking apartment instead of hotel etc. I did hear that there were no complexes there as such. I would settle for a modernised rented room if that was possible. Maybe a fahlang has renovated a house and is letting out rooms.

I did not stay there but passed thru several times and saw some nice looking places. Do not think you will have much of a problem.

The Nuttapong Grand is okay! (NBL) I didn't get around to finding any apartments there so I am back in central Udon now.

best Hotel is Phimai Inn,
Nice hotel, recently renovated with clean newly renovated swimming pool.
Also try to visit a swiss guy (Johnny) that owns a pub-restaurant over there.
Nice food, european and thai, good prices, also possible to rent a room in his place.
I will try to get the name and tel nr.
