Mochit to Udon late night and early morning
Should any BM be loitering, lurking or just plain visiting the Central Bus Station in Udon could they enquire what is the latest and earliest bus from BKK to Udon. I think the office on the right when exiting the bus station (exit Soi) is the one that has the 3 seats across busses.
Thanking you in anticipation.
John

Wokka... I've use the Chan Tour buses several times from Mo Chit to Udon and it seems when I've finished my business in BKK and get to Mo Chit, we board the bus at around 5:30 to 6 PM and arrive in Udon around 4 AM. A good ride and usually quite cool so you'll need the blanket provided. ![Dancing \:D/](./images/smilies/eusa_dance.gif)

Re: Mochit to Udon late night and early morning
Has anyone got the latest contact information, times and cost of Chan Tour (or alternatives) from Mo Chit to Udon?
Our flight lands at Suvarnabhuni at 18:40 too late for internal flight to Udon and so want to get a comfortable bus. If anyone can help on the above info and also the best way now to get from Suv to Mo Chit would be really useful.
Thanks.

Ban Phu,
I have exactly the same problem. So far, i just overnight in Bangkok and use the train the next day, or if arriving in the morning, sit around all day for the train. There is a bus service that is meant to do Udon to Suvarnabhuni and presumably a return, but the companies website is in Thai and also a source of viruses/trojans. I think called 777 bus company. But it is something that needs checking out.

Rick,
Same as what I have experienced. Trying to find the information on the web is extremely difficult www.chantour.com seems about 3 years out of date and apart from just turning up and trying pot luck, the last time I did this got normal bus from Bangkok to Ban Phu and had accident between NongBuaLamPhu and Ban Phu, which made me think about taking a more VIP and luxurious service, it seems that have to rely on others experiences. If anyone can assist please let us know a route from Suvarnabhuni to Udon Thani that would be feasible for an evening arrival in Bangkok?
Thanks.

Re: Mochit to Udon late night and early morning
Caught the bus from Udon to the Swamp a couple of weeks back, 417 baht I think each way. Not exactly VIP but certainly good enough. Biscuits offered, someone on board got so Durian flavoured biscuits, I thought someone had left a chocolate og in the toilet and it had spread down the bus. Within mins the lights came on and the bint dressed like something out of Thunderbirds except pink found the chap and took the offending biscuits off the chap. I digress... From reading the blurb there are 2 buses from the swamp to Udon at 06.00 , 22.30.
The bus was about 10 mins late into the swamp, so one would say in Thai time it's punctual!![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Re: Mochit to Udon late night and early morning
Does anyone have some idea of the bus schedule from Udon to Bangkok. I can afford the plane or train. The only inducement for taking the bus would be saving time. Also does the bus stop one or twice for at a comfort station for buying snacks?
Re: Mochit to Udon late night and early morning
Fussychunk,
Ok, couple of questions.
1. Where in udon does the bus leave from? (central bus station, etc.)
2. where do you book the ticket?
3. name of company? Does the bus have a number?
4. In swampy, where does it go from? ( transport centre, etc) also 2, 3, foe swampy end.
If you can answer all that, perfect.

Rick
answers to questions.
1 Central Bus Station, go to the exit were the buses leave the bus station, walk in that exit and its 10 meters in on your right.
2 You book from the same place upto 7 days in advance (the bus was busy so booking early is advisable) Tip here when entering the place slide the doors open, not push like most others. It makes it easier and less painful. They have Swamp written above the from sliding doors.
3 Chan tours or something like that
4 The transport centre is were it leaves Swampy. When you arrive at swampy tranny centre you have to get the transfer shuttle to the airport.
There are 2 buses to and from the swamp
