Good place to stay in Surin.

Hi all,

Following my visit to Udon in early January and wonder if any of you can suggest a good place to stay when I go on to Surin. Any suggestions and idea of cost would be appreciated.

Hotel Majestic right next to the Bus Station. Stayed there for the Elephant Round Up recently. It was 1200 baht per night but that price may have been inflated for the Round Up.
3 star first class staff and a very happy atmosphere around the place. Highly recommended for all round value etc.

Agree, Majestic is the best downtown hotel. Check out the Farang Connection website, they have a listing of the hotels plus a review.

Hi guys and my thanks for your suggestions they will be of great help. In addition I would also ask if anyone can give me approximate driving time to Surin as well as alternative means of getting there i.e bus train etc and cost if known.
