Nok Air
coming back from states week or so ago, i flew nok air bkk/uth, booked economy. baggage allowance 15 kgs, i had 45, a considerable excess baggage charge expected. was asked/adviced to upgrade, which was availble to first, did so for 535 baht and baggage charges were waived, even though exceeding the max allowed for first also, i think 30 kgs. asked for a bailey, got a blank stare, then notice nobody was drinking alcohol drinks. got a small meal, sandwich type thing, same as offered on thai, passed on eating it, the small beverage packed with it was very warm, so not a good idea to eat warm tuna or egg sandwich w/ mayo. but all in all, if having excess baggage, or a tight fit in economy seats, well worth upgrading or booking in advance if anticipating either. flight itself was uneventful and on time, and still cheaper than thai economy.
Tried to book online with Nok Air this week, they can not verify international credit cards.....sigh....
Went to the airport and bought one way ticket there at same price as online: 1550 baht, be warned, there is a 400 baht fuel surcharge. I booked Nok air because timing was more convienient for the connection flight I need out of Bkk.
I then walked over to Air Asia counter to book tickets there, but they were 400 baht more expensive than their internet bookings. Went home and booked tickets online for 1122.43 per one way. They have a 300 baht fuel surcharge....but no problems with non thai credit cards....
