By car to Laos using the Ferry

Does anyone know if I can get with my car to Laos during the weekend either from Nakhon Ohanom to Thakheak or from Mukdahan to Savannakhet. A friend told me that he thought that this was not possible in Nakhoh Phatom but he was not sure about Mukdahan.

Don't think the bridge is done yet in Mukdahan, and I saw no ferry for cars!
