Air Asia to fly to Australia

Post by wokkawombat » May 18, 2007, 9:56 am

ABC Asia announced on last nights news that Air Asia are planning services to Australia this year. I understood they would fly Singapore to either, or both Melbourne and Adelaide. Cost from about AUD 300 but I do not know if return. Starting in competition with Tiger.

If flying out of Singapore that would be Air Asia, from Thailand it would be Thai Air Asia, I would guess it is from Singapore as Air Asia have A320's, Thai Air Asia only operate B737-300's which would not have the range for Australia.
