Late last year a taxi fare (metered) in relatively light traffic from Suv to DM was close to TBH400.nifty wrote:yesterday i landeded don muang and i took local bus from right outside arrivals they go about every 25 minutes, all for 34 baht, took about 50 minutes.
i had 4 hrs between conecting flights so no need to rush in a taxi.
if you do take a taxi make sure he turns his meter on,around 200 baht.

The Air Asia flight departs at 4.15pm so by the time you have gotten your bags and passed through immigration you will not have that long to wait.
Time to chill out, stretch the legs, have a beer, watch the world go by.
Better doing that than panicking because your flights delayed, Bangkok traffic is screwed and your not going to make your connection IMHO.
BUT BE SURE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE!
Your advice was spot on, Roy.
I get into Suvannbhumi about 12.30pm and have booked my connecting flight with Air Asia at 4.15pm.
Total cost of the Air Asia return flight was 2,888 baht which is cheap as chips.

All paid for and thanks again for your advice.
