Where rent a pickup ?

Post by Peterplay » February 18, 2008, 2:24 pm

Does anybody know of a company/firm/person from whom I can rent a pickup (2doors) for a month or longer ? Does not need to be new or newish.
Prefer automatic, but assume that that

Check out Lek Car Rentals... all their cars are either new or as new.

Automatic pick-up truck is no problem, they have several. =D>

Peterplay.

Udon thani airport has AVIS and BUDGET is just outside. You can pay alittle more then their standart rate, then U have 100% insurance, so it don't cost U extra when U gets a bump. and you can return the car all over thailand (if you are going for roadtrips)

Else around udon there is 20shops renting out, but be sure with the insurance.

Good luck and drive save

I always seem to forget the locations. But, there sure seems to be more places advertising car/truck rentals these days. I usually see the signs when I driving around. I know there a few on Pracha Raksa Rd. & Wattana Nuwong Rd., but I know I've seen at them other locations also.
My suggestion, when you get here, have someone drive you around town for a few hours and look. Be sure and check they offer 1st. class insurance.

Leks have got Automatic Mitsu's available, but they are 4-doors = less load space in the rear, also a 'manual' Vigo standard cab more load space is also listed..along with a good priced Ford Ranger with Extra Cab seats 4/5 with a decent load space but manual box, just check the links above.

Come out of Robinsons, turn left and go to the end of the road...on the left is a rental company which will do an Isuzu 2dr, 4 seat, D-Max at a start price of ฿1000/day for 1 day 8) I expect you can discount on monthly :D
Rented from there 2 weeks ago to move some stuff because used them before a couple of years ago and was happy with price and truck 8)
Bring back Saint

its in my view very silly to rent a car from these fly buy nights expect your little nest egg to dry up very quickly if you have a prang been there seen it done it rent from a good company with A class insurance and dont worry about what could go wrong which you can bet bloody will do when you try and save small money
lek car rental is the best choice plenty of friends use them with no problems dont let these fly buy nights get there claws into you unless you like been -----d over
