Ok I stopped by the Phantom shop, the bike is a 500 CC Honda Turbo, rents for 700 baht a day. There is only one it belongs to a German guy, not the shop owner.

I'm just back from my holiday and I can say that I have found a small bike for rent in Udon. It was a 400cc yamaha drag star, it doesn't have the big acceleration but for my trip it was suitable enough ( you do want to see something from the landscape after all).
So you can find it with ''Big cycles'' shop, it's located on the ringroad from the airport to Nong Kai. The price was 700 for 1 day, a 5000 bath disposit you have to give and they check the bike very good when you return it, so when you go get it look for yourself too that everything is ok before you start to hit the road.
They have a website too ; www.geocities.com/jiggoudorn, check it out !
If you are planning to go to Samui, I saw a rental shop where they have Harley's !! It is located just outside the center from Chaweng beach in the direction to Lamai beach and it's called ''Ohm cycles". They had some awfull machines there !! Pitty I didn't have time enough to go check it out, but at least I know it now for the next time.

greetings :D

Anyone looking for a larger bike to rent, Lek car rentals are now building up a fleet of larger motor cycles ready for hire, we will be adding many new sports / chopper motorcycles to our fleet very shortly at very reasonable prices,

We are being careful in the selection of bikes available

EXPERIENCED bikers only please!

Our newest edition is the Honda Shadow 750 cc (Brand new / mint condition)

With best regards

Doug & Lek

(All comments from bikers, welcome good or bad.........lol..)

How much is the 750 per day? Is it the one from PP motors?

Wouldn't mind spending a day test riding one. 8)

Good to hear from you Ray, I recently bought the bike off Jimmy who you go on bike rides on a regular basis,

The Honda Shadow 750 cc is 1000 Baht a day but I will no doubt give you a bit of discount on that especially if you are just using it for the day for a test drive, ;)

No that is very fair price for that bike, so I get a chance I'll stop by and take it for a spin. More realistic a day spin LOL

There was a new Hionda Shadow for sale at PP motors, I don't know if it has sold. I think you can order one from them. Or from Jimmy. He recently brought in a new 1100 CC Dragstar for a friend as I recall it was here in about 45 days. Requires a deposit. The paper work is going to take longer then that, but you end up with a book.

It can be done but it's not cheap you can assume with a book over 400K
