Laying up a Honda for several months
Re: Laying up a Honda for several months
Cynical but a fair point! Pan excepted of course.vidmaster wrote:Thinking about it, is there any dealer I can trust in LoS?
We do deal with a few in Udon but would hesitate to recommend someone unless they are known to you.

Re: Laying up a Honda for several months
I have read the above with great interest since I soon will leave my Honda Click for a longer time. I am not very handy but what I will try to do is to fill it with Benzene instead of Gasohol. My questions: the Honda Click, according to the instruction manual, runs on Gasohol 91 and 95 and on Benzene 91. I have not really checked myself but it appears that Benzene 91 is not available any more so will Benzene 95 be OK? It seems that even Benzene 95 is hard to get, does anyone know who is selling Benzene in Udon.

Hi Lassebasse
I think one of the petrol stations on left side Tahan Road Rajabat University & airbase is on right going out of UD
I popped in there & one of the pumps with a yellow/ orange colour had 95- I assume that is benzene
Let us know if you agree

Yellow is benzine, orange is 95 gasohol. You will be good with yellow benzine, don't worry.
Re: Laying up a Honda for several months
Definitely orange so my search continues
Will let you know if I find the yellow benzine
I leave end March so some time to look

Re: Laying up a Honda for several months
My wife just got back to Udon and her 2012 Ford Fiesta is running perfectly even with it being stored for two and a half years. It started right up and is running just like the day we left it. It would not have been if we did not put the sea foam in the gas tank and have the smart charger hooked up to it. I have had friends leave their cars for 1 year and have a terrible time with dead batteries and plugged fuel injectors. A Honda wave will probably be fine for under a year though but I don't like to take chances and have only ever had a problem if I did not do the storage procedures I have described.
