You could try ....Thailand Highway Map. A-Z atlas ...bi-lingual Thai English scale 1:800,000
The one I have is 3rd edition 2007 . http://www.pnmap.com/ When home page opens, it is the 3rd on right at the top. I think you can order on-line but page is all in Thai. Maybe phone through or pick one up at a newsagent/bookshop when you get there. I Think it was about Aus$10.00

Go to lek can rental, they are a sponsor on the forum.

Rental Cars/Pickups have SAT NAV, much better than a map.

Road Map - help please

Post by arjay » January 26, 2009, 7:57 pm

The hire car may have a road map, otherwise most book shops sell them, and the Udonmap magazine usually available at the airport has a reasonable though more basic map within it.

Or see:-

http://www.multimap.com/world/TH

You leave Udon Thani on the 210 road past the airport, initially to Nong Bua Lamphu and then onwards to Loie, last section on the 210 road - about 2.5 hours.

Getting into Loei is basically a 2 road route (Main Roads) you can't go wrong.

But the place you is looking for you don't actually go into Loei its self.
Take the 210 from Udon > To Nong bua lamphu > keep on going till Wang Saphung > Do a LEFT so you will now be heading away from Loei (Town)and on the 201 route and Pha Khao is a Turning (Left).(a very minor road expect some bumps)

Easy enough drive.
And agree on Leks.

This is the route steve, no need to buy a map, print this off or write it down, follow the shaky blue line..the airplane icon is Udon Airport.
