Booking on NOK Air

Post by thalenoi » April 18, 2007, 9:26 am

Since it was mentionned here? you now can book and pay online with international credit card on NOk Air I gave it a try.

Hmm, their system asks which country your credit card comes from (what the heck? that's a first time...) and then gives a drop down list with possible banks, but not mine...you guess the result....anyway, the price for a return business class was 3700 baht, allows you 30kg of luggage.

Ok, I drove to BIG C where there is a travel agency claiming you can book and pay on NOK Air. Yes, at 5200 baht....

Drove to the airport where i was helped by a friendly lady, booked eco way out, business way back, 3200 baht, looks same as internet booking.

So the credit card payment is not really sorted out yet.

I tried during Jan this year and it did not work for me. On the other hand a friend of mine got his to work just fine during the same time period. I think next year I'll fly Thai.

How was the charter bus trip to the new Airport, if you took it of course. I'm on my way out end of this month and just found out NOK is my best option for connections because of this 1 hour bus trip

Or an opinion from anyone who has done the trip would be good, with some pointers as to where to pay for and pick up the bus etc.

Nok say if it's an overseas (non-Thai) credit card, you must fax a copy of it to them in support of your booking. If you have done that recently, then you don't need to do it again or each time.

If you are buying your ticket in person at the airport counter, the above doesn't apply, and you can use your overseas credit card without problem.

(Understood that would present more of a problem if you are trying to book with them from outside the UK. You would then have to fax a copy of your credit card to them.)

Flew Nok Saturday 5th May, landed DM 14.50, was street side taxi booth at 15.05, saw booth for bus 555 North from taxi booth. Staff was very helpful loading luggage.Bus went at 15.30 and took 45 minutes direct to terminal (not to the bloody Transportation Center) Traffic was light, took Vipawadee highway,Chaeng Wattana and Chonburi tollway.
