Petrol Grade

I have a two year old Almera and have always put E85 petrol in it rather than the standard E20 (which is shown on the inside of the filler cap). As I am doing a lot more miles now I am questioning this. Is it really worth using the higher grade petrol in the belief that it is better for the engine?
